Is there any particular reason you choose a name
without 'hb' prefix?
I'd like to add make files and rename it to hbmemio,
if possible. I'm not sure we should start a new special
prefix to store IO replacement libs yet.
Or, maybe we could rename both this lib and hbnetio
to hbiomem and hbionet. Any opinions?

Hi,

I've just tried to follow the other similar cases. We have rdd* libraries, and also gt* libraries. I/O Driver sounds very similar to Replaceable Data Driver, so I've used iod* prefix.

Feel free to change it.

Thank you. In the shade of this, I'd prefer
hbiomem or hbmemio. If we chose the former,
we'd need to rename hbnetio to hbionet.

Any further opinions? Przemek?

[ BTW, I feel this subsystem doesn't fall into the
same category as GT and RDD, it's rather some sort
of plugin subsystem for an existing API, so I wouldn't
give it a special namespace. It's easily possible
f.e. that some normal libs provide such I/O interface
as part of their workings. ]

Brgds,
Viktor
