If possible, IMO we should have both "Development" and "Support".

IMO the best would be to add a new news article with a link into 
the SVN browser to this file.

I'm a little sceptic here. Even our Wikipedia article 
wasn't updated since years and is in a terrible state. 
First some kind volunteers should clean it and extend it.

I think there is nothing worse than an "article" section 
without articles, so I'd reverse the process and encourage 
writing ppl such documents, and if we have enough to merit 
their own homepage section, we can add it and include all 
existing ones. Until then, there are quite a few place to 
add these articles even by users themselves (f.e. a forum 
topic). Just my 2 cents.
