I've tried to find the gcc flag (cc (GCC) 3.4.5 (mingw-vista special r3)) the will give me the same warning but to no avail.
I've been doing a lot of work on this today, the numbers don't match any more, but when I examine the two functions in both cases the pHeader variable is assigned to a local BYTE buffer, pHeader is incremented, and finally the buffer is read from or written from. Unless the optimizer has removed a variable, I'm not sure what I can do to remedy this.
