Okay, I get it. Dunno if that's doable, but I guess it would create a sort of confusion, because some e-mails would be repliable, some not. Anyway, dev list can now be read in a multitude of read-only web-interfaces, so it's already doable, if someone bothers. I believe we need to find a non-technical resolution to the problem.
