We decided not to split it, to make searching easy, and the layout/naming clean. F.e. I make searches in ChangeLog very frequently, and it's much quicker to do it in one file, than in multiple ones using grep. The only pending issue is to rename it to a short filename to make MS-DOS releases simpler, and give it a standard extenstion. (f.e.
