Can you explain how 'hbmk2 -mkimplib=hello hello.dll' 
Harbour command is able to create a working libhello.a, 
given there is no other input file than 'hello.dll'?

Thank you. I've made my "request" in my first 
reply in this thread.

This is not ACE specific problem, and they can 
easily point to the COFF .lib file they provide, so 
I'm not sure they are the most interested 
parties to solve that problem. Though you may try.

I'd also be happy to see the exact reason why 
some .dlls work and some not when used by mingw 
linker directly.

[ Pls don't make this a "yes, but 'copy' works" 
thread, it doesn't help us finding the real solution. ]
