HCJB-Australia to Pacific & India ----------------------------------- To Pacific: Changed freq to 11770 khz from 2nd Feb between 0700-1200 UTC, nothing was heard over here in New Delhi as CRI occupies this channel upto 1200 UTC.
To India: Test broadcasts started from 27th Jan'03& were heard as foll : 27th Jan - 1230 - 1321 UTC 28th Jan - 1230 - 1402 UTC 29th Jan - 1230 - 1359 UTC 30th Jan - 1230 - 1419 UTC 1st Feb - 1230 - ?? UTC Test broadcasts consisted of music, short devotional talks & regular male voice announcements giving their phone #, e-mail id & asking for reception reports.Also heard re-run of their old broadcast to pacific with freq's anncd as 11755, 15130 & 15135 & some old news bulletins. Signals were pretty good. Started regular transmissions from 2nd Feb between 1230-1730 UTC. Well heard over here but after 1410 UTC signals were weak due to poor propagation. They had some special programming for their first day of regular broadcast, between 1230-1300 greeting messages from HCJB directors in UK, Canada & USA. Also at 1514 UTC there was an interview with Director of HCJB-Australia. Also heard on 3rd Feb at 1530 Utc but better reception than 2nd Feb. QSL - HCJB Australia - 11755 khz- 0900-1200 Utc -5th Jan -Received a f/d QSL letter thru e-mail after 25 hours from [EMAIL PROTECTED] for an e-mailed report. Shows a scanned image of HCJB Australia QSL card with picture of diversion dam at Kununurra in the far northwest of Australia adjacent to which HCJB Australia's property is situated.(V/s -None).
