Hi, although there were no auroral conditions this morning (11 July, 0400 UTC), I could observe Radio Itatiaia from Belo Horizonte, Brazil on 5970 kHz with a much better signal compared to other days. No similar improvement observed on other brazilian transmitters in the 49 meterband. It is the miracle of propagation, is not it?
This talk station seems to be on 24h schedule now (maybe already for a longer time, not registered due to its weak signal, at least here in the middle of Europe). The station also seems to be a very bad identifier; in fact I heard no ID, no time announcement, just talk, talk, talk... Sometimes I wonder what they can talk about all night long :-) ...... yes, you are right, I should improve my Portuguese...
