Radio Jordan on 11960 kHz -- they use an ABB Infocom (aka Thales) HRS 8/4/1 two tower curtain array!
The site is capable of 1000 kw carrier power, but 2 x 500 kw transmitters are typically fed into the antenna. If you live in Maui, Hawaii USA -- Jordan comes in fine too. Your receiver in Finland probably should have its attenuator turned on to keep the innards of the set from being fried! > Im just now 1430 UTC listening to R JORDAN in EE on new 11960 kHz. > Reception is excellent and signal great, even S9 +20 dB!!! > > 73s > Jouko Huuskonen > Turku FINLAND > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Graham Powell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "SWM Readers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Shortwave Radio Yahoo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Shortwave Listening Yahoo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "HCDX" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Wolfgang Bueschel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Friday, September 12, 2003 5:09 PM > Subject: [HCDX] radio Jordan on 11960 kHz > > > > 11960 kHz 1430 UTC Radio Jordan, Al Karanah, Jordan.
