Alok Dasgupta and Victor Goonetilleke are pleased to announce the launch of their new Web site, DXAsia. The aim of the site is to provide accurate and timely schedule information for listeners interested in radio broadcasting to and from the South Asian region: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and surrounding countries.
DXAsia is a work in progress. In due course the site will be database driven, with user selectable options for displaying schedule information by country, time, language or other criteria. At the outset, the site displays static information derived from an offline database that is constantly updated. The database currently contains approximately 1000 entries. More information will be added to DXAsia as the weeks go by. The editors are anxious for feedback and suggestions.
