The FCC wil put 288 FM radio licences up for auction in the US, starting on Wednesday. The licences will grant the holders' authority to build commercial FM stations in certain towns and cities across the country. It is the first time in five years that FM spectrum is available. Some of the more popular licences have attracted up to 80 bidders, ranging from top of the range conglomerates, right down to enthusiastic individuals.
Most of the licences are for towns across the south, west, and midwest. 28 licenses are available for stations in Texas alone. http://www.radiowaves.fm/news/index.shtml ---[Start Commercial]--------------------- World Radio TV Handbook 2005 is coming out.
