WRN to Launch Podcast Service: (21 April, 2006) Have you heard about podcasting? Do you own an iPod or mp3 player? Do you listen to programmes on WRN and wish you could hear them again? Are you out when your favourite programme is on? Well WRN's upcoming Podcast service could be just for you!
What is podcasting? Podcasting is the new and exciting way to listen to your favourite programmes via WRN. Download your favourite WRN shows as mp3 podcasts and listen to them at a more convenient time via your computer or portable media player, such as an mp3 player or iPod. With the WRN podcast service you will be able to download a great range of programmes such as: Regular weekly podcasts from a fantastic line up of international public broadcasters; Exclusive and unique podcasts direct from the WRN team An extensive WRN Podcast Archive Using Podcast Software such as iTunes, Juice or Ipodder You can use dedicated Podcast software to automatically download your favourite programmes each time they are updated. Using the WRN podcasting service will be free of charge for the first three months from launch, after which we will introduce a small fee to access premium content whilst basic level content will remain free to download. Get a Sneak Preview The official launch of the WRN Podcasting service will be announced in next week's newsletter. However, for a sneak preview of the WRN-produced programmes they can be downloaded via iTunes, (click on podcast directory and search for "World Radio Network").
