After a good night of DXing Australian domestic stations, I wonder if someone
can clarify the programming that they carry.

I received several different frequencies with parallel programming. Without a
positive local ID, these would all seem to come from stations in the state of
Western Australia. I also received some other channels which were not in
parallel.

Am I right in thinking that all transmitters within a given state carry the
same regional program, as indicated by 'R' in the WRTH? And that this regional
program is different for each Australian state?

I did receive IDS, such as 'This is ABC National Radio', but there were no
local IDs.

I'd be grateful if someone can clarify what programmes are carried.

  Simon
