Peru, 6173.65, Radio Tawantinsuyo, 0950-1000 Brazil has a strong station on 6175 which is practically covering RT, but with careful tuning, I can pull in some details such as a male in Spanish comments. He talks until 0957 when music is presented. Heard music for less than a minute when comments continued. Signal was poor with QRM blocking a lot of it. (Chuck Bolland, October 21, 2007)
Peru, 5939.24, Radio Melodia, 1002-1020 Noted a male in steady Spanish comments. He's putting a lot of expression into his comments, indicating this might be something other than just news. Splatter from a lower freq interferes with the audio. Lots of splatter in this neighborhood. At 1009, Huaynos music heard. Canned ID by a female while music is playing. Signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, October 21, 2007) Peru, 4826.45, Radio Sicuani, 1013-1020 Initially heard a female in Spanish comments. This followed with Spanish comments by a male. Mentions Iquitos and Lima once or twice, Also TC's periodically. Comments continue by male. Signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, October 21, 2007) China, 9500, China National Radio 1, 1020-1035 (Tent) A really polished format with Chinese comments and promos. Tried to find a parallel to confirm this, but nothing found this early. Signal was fair but dropped to poor once in awhile. (Chuck Bolland, October 21, 2007) Clewiston, Florida NRD535D I recommend: I have build a Noise Reducing Antenna (by Dallas Lankford) which has improved my DXing ability considerably. Unfortunately, contrary to what I had hoped, I live in a very noisy environment. With the NRA attached to one of my antennas, I am able to reduce the RF noise to a minimum.
