DXAsia, the website that specialises in broadcasts to and from South Asia, is about to be relaunched in a new style. The new version of the site will tentatively go live on Christmas Day, 25th December, unless there are any last-minute hitches.
DXasia will be fully automated, thanks to the hard work of Alok das Gupta's son Abhishek. He's 20 years old, and is in his 2nd year studying for an MSc at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Calcutta. He has a special interest in computing specially various language like Python, PERL, Java, C++ etc. Abhishek has done all the programming for the new site, which will enable Alok to manage the editorial process and update the site directly from Calcutta to the Web server in London. A new and very useful addition to the Home Page is the option to display all the transmissions currently on the air, including all the frequencies, with one click of the mouse. Your reactions to the relaunched site are welcome to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm now off to the UK for Christmas, so if you're also celebrating I wish you the compliments of the season.
