RTM1, RTM2, Radio Ai FM Line Up Chinese New Year Programmes http://www.bernama.com.my/bernama/v3/news.php?id=309523 KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- RTM1 and RTM2 have lined up a number of movies and dramas to be screened from Feb 5 to 10 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festival which falls on Feb 7 and 8.
RTM1 will screen six movies, slotted under Chinese New Year Movies Galore, including Lord of the Rings III (The Return of the King), Deputy Information Minister Datuk Seri Chia Kwang Chye said today. He said that among the other movies were So Close, Bulletproof Monk, and Around the World in 80 Days. A total of 50 programmes will be shown during the Chinese New Year festival and Chap Goh Meh over RTM1 and RTM2 as well as aired over Radio Ai FM (Mandarin), he told reporters when launching the Chinese New Year and Chap Goh Meh 2008 programmes here. The programmes run for 121 hours. Chia said that to usher in the Chinese Year of the Rat, RTM1 would screen a comedy drama entitled "Malu-malu Tikus", depicting a love affair between a Malay man and a Chinese girl, at 12.30pm on Feb 7. The cast includes Zaibo, Hasnol Rahmat, Louisa Chong and Soosan Hoo. RTM1 will also screen musicals including Michael Buble Musical and Heavenly Gong Xi Fa Cai. RTM2 has slotted 47 hours of programmes, which will have "The Predictions for 2008" on Feb 7 as the curtain-raiser.
