Australia, 4910, Australian Broadcasting Corp, 0803-0815 Fading up over the
noise every
second or two, noted a religious program with call ins in English Language.
(Chuck Bolland
April 26 2008)

Suriname, 4989.99, Radio Aponte, Tent, 0820-0830 Only audible periodically
since there's
CODAR and other noise blocking the freq, heard just music here under all of
the junk. Just
reporting for continuity. (Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Peru, 6019.42, Radio Victoria, 0830-0840 With the usual religious
programming of the
male (weeping preacher) in religious Spanish comments. This is over mood
music. Signal
is fair because it's solo on the freq at this time. (Chuck Bolland, April
26, 2008)

Chile, 6070.10, Voz Cristiana, 0840-0850 With religious singing and a

good. (Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Chile, 6110, Voz Cristiana, 0845-0900 Noted male and female in Portuguese
language comments. This along with intermediate music. Signal was fair.
(Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Ecuador, 6125, HCJB, 0900-1030, Sine on at 0900 followed with a program of
Ecuadorian music and Quichua language comments from a male. Signal was
good. (Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Ecuador, 6160, HCJB, 0900-1030 Noted a female in Portuguese Language
comments. At 0906 music presented in Portuguese also. Signal was good.
(Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Bolivia, 6134.82, Radio Santa Cruz, 0905-0930 Signal not exactly faded in
yet, but not music and Spanish comments from a male. After the comments,
more music. (Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Chad, 4904.94, Radiodiffusion Nationale T'chadienne, 2215-2219* Primarliy
heard French language comments, then a few bars of African Hilife music.
After a few more brief comments, National Anthem played and off at 2219.
While it was on, the signal was good.
(Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Unid, 5930, 2240-2245, Noted a female in Language comments. The language
sounded
like Portuguese, but could have been something else. Periodically music was
presented \
which sounded Middle Eastern. Signal was good. No ID heard or understood.
Signal
went off at 2245 exactly. (Chuck Bolland, April 26, 2008)

Radio Taiwan Intl. seeking opinion from North American listeners

Has the popularity of the Internet changed your habit of tuning to RTI ?
Should the English service continue its shortwave broadcasts to North
America?
Or should RTI put more emphasis on its webcast?

Hi,

the EiBi schedules for the summer season A08 have been uploaded. You can find
them on either URL
 http://www.eibi.de.vu/
 http://www.eibispace.de/

Direct links to the schedules:
 Sorted by time: http://www.eibispace.de/dx/bc-a08.txt
 Sorted by frequency: http://www.eibispace.de/dx/freq-a08.txt

No more susi-und-strolch.de as that website of my friends is being phased down.

Perseus users may download eibi.txt which is a renamed version of the
frequency-sorted list. Save it into your local directory which contains your
perseus.exe file.

As always, please let me know if you have comments or corrections!

All the best,
Eike

Dear all,

You have just over one week to send in your entry for the EMWG contest.

Entrants so far come mainly from Germany but already 14 countries are
represented.

Please note that so far there is only 1 person who has all questions
right (apart from the elimination question).
The average score so far is 11 correct answers out of 20.

So if you feel the quiz is hard, to let that restrain you from
participating. Write down the answers you know and send in your entry.

Visit the website to see the wide range of prizes and to enter to
competition on-line. It's free and quick to enter!
