Pacific Asian Radio Guide Updated
_________________________________
You can now search the new, updated Pacific-Asian Log Mediumwave
Radio Guide at www.radioheritage.net for details of thousands of AM
radio stations throughout the entire region.
What have DYUM on Leyte in the Philippines, JOIC in Toyama, Japan and
2EA in Wollongong, Australia all got in common? They are just three
of thirty-three stations you'll find at 1035 AM across the region!
Covering the entire mediumwave dial in the region, the famous Pacific
Asian Log was first published over 50 years ago, and continues today
under the guidance of Seattle USA based editor-in-chief Bruce Portzer.
It's up to date, based on many sources across the region, and is
useful for radio listeners, business and vacation travellers, radio
stations and advertisers who want to know what's on air now, and
where.
In this latest edition, entries for the Philippines have been
reviewed with major new information, and many other changes will be
found in other countries.
Visit www.radioheritage.net today, click on 'PAL Search', choose the
Mediumwave Radio Guide, enter your valid email address and you can
begin searching for information about thousands of AM stations, all
for free.

United States, 6100, WHRI, 0856-0910+ Been hovering around 6100 KHz for
about
15 minutes waiting for WHRI to come up. Only noted interference on the
freq that
sounds like jammer of some kind. However, at 0856 WHRI comes on the air
fading
in over the jammer briefly and fading out. At 0900 full ID in English as
usual. The
interference and WHRI continue to trade punches so to speak, each dominating
for a moment and then dropping back down. Since previous days, the music
was
generally sung with Cuba as its' subject, I am wondering if the jammer is
being directed
from Cuba to blank out WHRI? By 0905, WHRI is almost completely blocked.

aQuoting Glenn Hauser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi Glen,
Yes Con and Angelo phoned me yesterday..(Wednesday), and advised at around 3pm
local Sydney time, (0500) UTC, it was on air for good!
So it was off air since the 20th May till the 11th June. Anyone hearing in
between, has hearing induced madness of too much Dxing!
QSL hunters, for email reports see below as advised previously.
For snail mailers
Well it looks like being me.
If you all wish I can gather reception reports say till the end of July 08.
Then go to the record store that Radio Symban use and get Con and Angelo to
verify the reports. I guess we can buy postcards, of Sydney, and write on the
reverse.
HMMM so you can write to John Wright "Reception reports", 29 Milford road,
Peakhurst NSW 2210, Australia.
Please enclose either 2 IRC's (current accepted IRC's), or 2 USD dollars,
as this will probably come out of my pocket if you don't include return
postage.
Glen, hopefully this will satisfy the QSL hunters.
Regards
John
