** ANGUILLA. DGS was recently reported missing, but his voice is back on 11775,
July 27 at 1319 check, atop DentroCuban leftover Mart? jamming, and Firedrake
too (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** LAOS [non]. Hmong Lao Radio, via WHRI 11785, Sunday July 27 at 1321 rustic
male solo singing with abrupt tone changes; atop the Firedrake and victim QRM,
but also could detect a low-pitched het on the low side, about 11784.9. This I
suspect was V. of Indonesia, as not heard on 9526 at this time. If so, it was
not +1 kHz around 11786 as it occasionally has been reported (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NEW ZEALAND. Tuning in 6170 at 1258 July 27, jazz music in progress, making
me wonder whether RNZI had not been running DRM here during the previous hour
as scheduled. 1300 timesignal and RNZI news in analog (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** THAILAND. R. Thailand, 11625, July 27 at 1315, brief transmission break for
antenna change, chime IS ? I love those mellow tones! Full ID in English
including transmitter site near Udorn, opening Mandarin service which is
unscathed by jamming, tnx to the generosity of China`s SARFT. But the Thais
have to watch what they say (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WYFR again on 7730 instead of 7780, July 27 at 1303 with hymn in
Spanish. I meant to check the earlier scheduled usage of 7780 to see if it had
changed too. The July 1 WYFR revised schedule showed:
7780 0304-0400 RUSS 44
7780 0400-0500 ENGL 44
7780 0500-0600 GERM 44
7780 0600-0700 ROMA 44
7780 0700-0745 POLI 44

7780 1100-1200 ENGL 222
7780 1200-1345 SPAN 222

 WORLD OF RADIO 1418 SUMMARY:

*If you are listening to a station which cut off our opening, I
repeat, this is World of Radio 1418
*WRNO New Orleans has finally started testing under new ownership with
new transmitter, first heard July 18 at 1938 on 15590.4; later also
on 7505, but only for brief periods with a variety of music, no IDs.
George Jacobs and WRNO HQ in Fort Worth confirm they have started on-
air testing. Programming expected to start August 1. Not like the
original WRNO, but now just another religious station
*Former WRNO broadcaster, Nazi Ernst Gr?ndel, may be released soon in
 Germany
*Senate committee restores funding for some VOA, RFE/RL languages
*AFGE Local 1812 says fund VOA instead of Radio Sawa, Al-Hurra

 and 1330
*Digital Aurora Radio Technologies, Delta Junction, Alaska, awarded 2-
year experimental license for DRM on 4-5, 7 and 9 MHz bands; Harry
Helms charges it`s another Sen. Stevens boondoggle to spend federal
 money in Alaska
*DART Coverage calculations based on 5050, 7350, 9623 kHz, but maybe
 just for example
*KDLG, 670, Dillingham, Alaska, public/community radio station says it
has added IBOC; see discussion in DXLD 8-082
*WOLY, 1500, Battle Creek MI, still on the air 4 years after license
 not renewed, excuses
*KGA, 1510, Spokane, authorized to downgrade from 50 kW clear channel
to 15 kW, in order to improve night coverage of co-owned KPIG to the
 Bay Area
*KYHN, 1650, Fort Smith, Arkansas, asks permission to stay off air for
up to a year, since its transmitter in Oklahoma was flooded

There was an E-skip opening from North Dakota to Pennsylvania this afternoon on
July 26, 2008. The stations were just pounding in like locals. I was in the
shop and heard that infamous "shift" of another station over WRRK 96.9
pittsburgh. I went to the heavy equipment and there they were.

Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Receiver: Sansui TU-717 tuner
Antenna : Attic mounted Triple Beam FM at 270 degrease

all had station ID.

KRVX The Raven 103.1, 20:33 gmt, Jamestown, North Dakota, Jamestown Speedway
Ads and Shady Golf
        Scramble

KQDJ Q101 101.1, 20:48 gmt, Valley City, North Dakota, Wagon Wheel Inn ads,
Tavern 94 ads.

KVOX Froggy 99.9, 20:50 gmt, Fargo ND, Muskatel Kia ads

KRWK Rock 102, 20:41 gmt, Fargo ND, ID and ments of Fargo.

These above stations were really reeking havoc with some power. they were in
like locals for about a half hour, especially The Raven 103.1. the modulation
was very CLEAR and LOUD with some Ozzy classic rock. wish the stations around
here sounded like that.

There were many more weaker stations on 96.9, 99.5, 104.9, 98.3, 104.7, 101.9
that rapidly shifted in and out not allowing for any program information.

never heard Es from ND before.
