Logged these stations while on a Micro-DXpedition last evening. Was
focusing on LAs but only Brazilians were coming in well.
CHAD 4904.94 R. Chad Beautiful R. Chad ID at 2221 and ments of Chad,
then Hi-life mx. Another R. Chad ID at 2227, and closing anmnts ending
w/official ID. Muffled instru. NA to 2230:25*. Fantastic signal. (6
Sept.)
BRAZIL 4894.95 R. Novo Tempo 2301 brief deadair, quick sung ID jingle,
then long full canned ID by M. Fair strength but audio a rather low. (6
Sept.)
BRAZIL 11854.96 R. Aparecida 2305 W w/TC at t/in, five time ticks, then
many ID jingles by M and W and also sung. Strong w/co-channel QRM.
BRAZIL 9584.8 R. CBN 2310 M preaching in PT w/audience. Not as
impassioned as you'd hear on Tupi, but aggressive style. Fairly good with a
little adjacent QRM. Found was // 4974.7 at 2320. Amazing how much easier
and readable these ZYs are w/BOG aimed at Brazil. (6 Sept.)
BRAZIL 11804.65 R. Globo Fairly strong but distorted signal here and
weak audio at 2324. Could definitely // 6119.9 when M in PT screaming.
6119.9 was somewhat weak w/co-channel QRM. (6 Sept.)
Noted these ZYs above 49 meters: 9505, 9584.8, 9629.9, 9645.25, 9665, 9675,
9685.27, 11780, 11804.65, 11814.96, 11854.96, 11895, 11915.12, and 11925.04.
(6 Sept.)
BRAZIL 5969.92 R. Itatiaia Long tlk by M in PT at 2335. Ments of
Brasil, Sao Paulo. 2339 jingle and short ad block. 2341 sounded like a
simple "Itatiaia" jingle, then live M again. 5965 slop QRM. (6 Sept.)

Fans who are tuned to 9850 and 11715 will hear sshhhshhhggggshh. I bet for a
bottle of good wine that this has been decided by a RTE employee who has a
DRM receiver himself. Is the Africa coverage also in DRM?
2 Andy Sennitt September 5th, 2008 - 16:15 UTC As far I am aware, the Africa
coverage will be in analogue.
3 Paul Rawdon September 5th, 2008 - 19:26 UTC Will they be using their own
transmitters for shortwave of buying time off shore?
4 Andy Sennitt September 5th, 2008 - 20:25 UTC RTE does not have any
shortwave transmitters of its own. No doubt one of the shortwave enthusiasts
reading this will tell us what the sites are (ibid.)

Luigi,
Suggest you try 15575 at 01-02 UT in Spanish, direct from S Korea to S America.
It may be difficult for you, but they apparently think it works on path further
south.
Also try 9570 direct with English at 08-09, Korean at 09-11, for Southeast
Asia, but might make it if propagation and interference cooperate. It`s also on
at 12-15 including English at 13, but we have CRI via Cuba blocking at 12-14.
Good luck! 73, Glenn Hauser

Sounds like the claims about predicting the impact of the comet in the
Mojave Desert in "Everything You Know Is Wrong". Hmmm... I think I can
smell breakfast.

R.G. Stair should be sitting in a prison cell instead of puking out his
dogma on shortwave radio. Didn't he have some alleged legal issues with
underaged girls a while back? Sorry for the strong opinion but I have
no use for such folk that use God as a beard for their vile acts.

Fritze, you would be correct. He is a convicted child molester. His gospel
he preaches is the gospel of 'Me first'. The little girl was a member of
his compound there in SC.
BUT, he is no different, nor any better, than the rest of the so-called
preachers on Trinty Broadcasting, TV or radio or short-wave. What I can not
understand is how people are so fooled by these crooks?
