Hi

On February 19th at 0600 I heard a station on 1320 kHz broadcasting in SS
and mentioning "Radio Nacional" several times. Cx seemed to be towards
Peru-Orinoco. Haven't found any info on that. Does anyone have an idea?

USA 7505.35 WRNO Signal on the air at 0156:32, then pgm start up at
0158:58 with ID by M over mx "This is WRNO Worldwide broadcasting of
frequency 7505 khz from its transmitter site in New Orleans LA", and
immediately into Pop mx. 0203 canned echo ID w/freq and QTH, nx by Jonathon
Peter 0204-0206, canned ID, and back to mx. Good signal but occasional
brief fades. (20 Feb.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3305 R. Western 1133 M studio host in what sounded like
all EG and listener acknowledgement in EG w/ment of ".thank you very
much.enjoy" and song dedication. Did have some nearby SSB traffic QRM at
this time. 1135-1139 lively island Pop songs, 1140 M anncr in PD w/apparent
song anmnt mentioning 1980, PSA. 1146-1148 M anncr returned. 1150 M anncr
w/ment of "radio station", ".listeners ?? music which.news.listen to.radio
?? broadcasting.", ending w/song anmnt, and into lively Island song. 1158
full ID w/freq, meterband, FM freq, ment of February, and goodnight, soft
mx, brief bird call, and end of pgm at 1159*. Surprised to hear this. Fair
strength but getting too much lcl QRN. (20 Feb.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3365 R. Milne Bay 1159 M w/rel. pgm sounding like EG to
at least 1203. Came back about a minute and a half later and found the pgm
was off and only a buzzing in the signal remained. Maybe they cut it off in
mid-pgm?? The buzzing (no audio) continued for at least the next 5
minutes. Fairly decent. (20 Feb.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3325 R. Bougainville 1200 long period of nonstop mx.
Could hear tlk by M and W in pres. IN from apparently RRI Palangkaraya
underneath for a while. 1221 W anncr w/song anmnt, then promo for mx pgm
and back to mx. 1226 NBC promo, live W again w/ment of "program", "music",
and "11 o'clock". 1226-1230 "Red Red Wine" by UB40, and W w/song anmnt, and
back to Pop mx. (20 Feb.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3235 R. West New Britain 1153-1158 Native mx w/chorals
and percussion, then into pleasant island song filler, 1159 W anncr in PD,
then Pop and Island mx pgm w/same studio W anncr hosting after every song
w/TCs and song anmnts, and many listener messages after 1200. Picked up
after 1210. Came back at 1234 and playing more Pops, 1135 W again w/song
anmnts, several ments of "listeners", "telephone", "broadcast", "program",
listener message, TC, back to mx. 1240 shorter anmnt w/TC, ment program and
"OK listeners ?? dedication.". 1302 W again anmnt but no ID noted, and more
mx after 1304. (20 Feb.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3335 R. East Sepik Just caught Bryan Adams song "We're
in Heaven" while passing through at 1211. Good. (20 Feb.)

INDONESIA?? 2960 RPD Manggarai (tent.) 1213 light mx on electric guitar
at t/in (peaked at this time). Then causal tlk by M anncr, definitely NOT
sounding like EG. A different M anncr commented briefly at 1216. 1217 back
to easy mx for 15 seconds then M voice-over anmnts. 1219 sounded like
Island choral mx. Very fady and just about gone by 1220. Certainly didn't
sound a like a domestic harmonic. Could this have been Manggarai?? Anyone
hearing this lately?? (20 Feb.)

INDONESIA?? 2897.03v RPDT2 Ngada?? Mx at 1118, then M anncr at 1123.
Just not strong enough to determine the type of mx or lang. Didn't seem
that much weaker than 2960. Drifting up too. Was up to 2897.1 by the time
it disappeared at 1231. No harmonic works for MW, so what could this have
been?? Nothing heard on a CA Web rx, but then again West New Britain wasn't
coming in either. Would be shocked if this was indeed Ngada. (20 Feb.)

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3385 R. East New Britain 1304 Reggae mx. 1306 M anncr
taking phone caller, 1308 deadair, then Pop song. 1312 short canned promo
anmnt and more rom. mx. 1320 live M anncr in PD and took another phone
call, long ad-tlk to BoH. 1330 M anncr again, then choral mx, and soft song
at 1332. Suddenly off at 1336:54. Already fading at t/in, but did stay in
for more than an hour and a half after lcl sunrise as would be expected.
(20 Feb.)
