MONGOLIA 12085 V.O. Mongolia Apparent Mongolia lang. lesson at 1025. Instru. mx,
off the air at 1029, back on and audio extremely low. Could only detect the
audio
in USB to avoid 12080 Australia splash. A little stronger at 1032 w/nx. They
always
seem to have some sort of tech. problem. (6 July)

INDONESIA 9680.06 RRI Jakarta No sign of this at 1035. Apparently Japans signal
on
at 1055 w/a few words in JP. (6 July)

Fleetwood
Mac. 0115 M anncr but just too much noise to copy. 0116-0119 "Ramblin Man" by

CLANDESTINE 15725 V.O. South Sudan Revolutionary R. (pres.) Set the NRD to
record
from 0355 but only went to abt 0440 before the MD ran out. Severe adjacent QRM
though during that time. Found in the clear w/long impassioned tlk by M anncr
0715.
0736 very exotic Afro mx w/feverish vcls and chorus by men. Better signal w/more
tlk in African lang. by M 0736-0751 but definitely not AR. Kept repeating word
sounding like "Jambi"!! Actually quite readable and IDable from 0736-0741 or so,

gone
by 0830. (8 July

CLANDESTINE 15725 V.O. South Sudan Revolutionary R. Set the NRD timer/MD to
record
from 0555. Same M w/impassioned preaching-like tlk from the start. Sounded like
EG
at 0603 w/ment of ".the people of the.revolution.you have the right.", and
possibly
weapon, fight, and "the law". 0604 native male chorals, then more tlk by diff.
M in
African lang. but definitely not AR 0604-0620. Pretty decent by 0609. 0620-0623
more choral vcls. Another M 0623. Really faded badly and quickly at 0635.
Nothing
by 0651 and never did come back by 0800. Best reception yet but did have some
annoying lcl noise on the freq. Pgming, and especially the mx sounds a lot like
the
reception videos on Youtube. (9 July)

USA 11565 Fiji Democracy and Freedom Movement R. (via WHRI) 0830 program sign-on
with pleasant local Fijian choral vocals and percussion. 0830-0832 opening EG

same
man announcer. 0859 Another lively local island song ending the program. 0900
Off
the air. Fair and clear and almost no fading. (9 July)

high. (10 July)

COLOMBIA 14950.76 Salem Estereo Recorded on the Perseus all night from 0123.
Usual
LA Pops and canned promo anmnts by M after every 2 songs and at ToH. Long tlk
by M

strong at 0751 but faded very fast right at the ID!! Likes to f/out right at
IDs!!
Had problems when an annoying UTE here in the early evening. Clear later. Seems
best and most consistent here in the 0700-0800 hour. Can be fairly decent one

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 6039.98 NBC 0924-1000 national general election coverage with M

July)

CLANDESTINE 15725 V.O. South Sudan Revolutionary R. Again, set the NRD timer/MD
recorder on this. Was shocked to find a good signal. And since I'd set the AGC
off
trying to suck up every microvolt of signal, the recording ended up being
distorted
unfortunately. Signal on the air a little late at 0503:58, then pgm start 15
seconds later w/native chorals and drums mixed w/short anmnts by M. AR ID at
0506,
0507, and EG ID at 0507:30 "This is the Voice of South Sudan Revolutionary R.
The
voice of South Sudan Revolutionary Radio stands for freedom, justice, equality,

then
another w/FM freq at 0033. 0035 nice "Santa Cruz" singing jingle, then another
"Santa Cruz en la noche" promo ID. A solid 10 over!! Best using the Eton E1 in
AM
Sync USB to avoid the UTE here. (12 July)

ZAMBIA 6165 Zambia Nat. BC A nice surprise; caught a canned EG ID promo by W at
t/in at 0513. Followed by another anmnt, brief instru. Afro mx, then another EG

slop QRM. (12 July)

CANADA 6160.868 CKZN End of "The Current" at 0547 w/CBC ID, then "The Sound-Off"
segment. Stronger than 6160 CKZU and slopping over. Filler mx 0559, promo for
"Metamorphosis" pgm. Into CBC nx by W. I see it was reported on this freq back
in
2009 too. Looking at a Perseus recording from 25 June showed this was on freq
then.
So must have jumped up here in the last 2 and a half weeks. (12 July)

CANADA 6159.991 CKZU 0549 pgm w/tlk about robots. Was hoping to get a lcl ID at

around 0625, but then picked back up. (12 July)

TAIWAN 11570 Suab Xaa Moo Zoo Just caught the end of the opening anmnt by M at
1131. Sounded like there was a fair amount of EG in the bdcst today. (12 July)

RUSSIA 15245 V.O. Asena (pres.) (via Samara Russia) Heavy percussion from
1704-1708, then M anncr, and back to the drums at 1712. Hrd the drums again at
1725
but had faded. Too weak and very fady along w/lcl QRN. Modulation seems too low
also. First time to hear anything on this. (13 July)

RUSSIA?? 15195 UNID. Signal came on here at 0745:17. Went off at 0901:22. Never
even strong enough for audio. I guess it would have been Tatarstan. (14 July)

TAIWAN 11570 Suab Xaa Moo Zoo Carrier came on at 1119:05. Pgm start at 1130
w/instru. mx and opening anmnt by M w/ment of freq in kHz. Immediately into

Explosion" pgm per their website. Went immediately into WYFR relay at 1200. (14
July)

NIGERIA 15120 V.O. Nigeria Found here by accident at 1530. "Africa Hour" pgm.
Tlk
on human rights violations. 1558 W w/e-mail, and mailing addr. Pgm anmnt, and
sked
for Sunday, drum IS briefly, then off the air. Surprised to find this here. Fair

the
machine gun, varying around 15180-15200. (14 July)

MADAGASCAR?? 12115 Zimbabwe Commnity R.??? Just a weak signal here at 1600 amid
