Regarding the silence of HCJB 6050 reported by Glenn, Horst Rosiak
announced in the German-language DX program "F?r DXer" (listen on
andenstimme.org) of 30 August 2014 that it has been off air since 12
August due to three burned capacitors. The spare parts are being shipped
from the US and they hope to be back on the air soon.

Eike

In the meantime, Voz Andes/HCJB Quito is looking for a good (used) solid state
10 kW transmitter for 6050 kHz AM. Their current unit is off the air since
August 12th and they are waiting for parts from the US for getting it back on
asap. Regards, (Harald Kuhl, Germany, Sept 6, BDXC-UK yg via DXLD)
