Loggings for the second half of November below along the Youtube video links of
some of the receptions that may be of interest to you.

11 November 2014: Went out on a micro-DXpedition from 1820-2130. Nice very
quite conditions. Although, on the whole, it was probably about 'normal'. It
seemed Africans were doing better.

15190 PHILIPPINES R. Pilipinas/PBS Usual canned full ID by M in EG
at around 1820 t/in (unfortunately I wasn't recording). After checking other
things, came back and noted discussion by 2 W in Filipino. Ended the feature
at 1839 w/women shouting "Bye", then R. Pilipinas ID, canned anmnts including
another ID at 1839:55 w/laser SFX. 1840:25 M w/another ID in song
introduction, then song. 1902:45 nice long canned ID again. 1929:10 Asian Pop
ballad abruptly stopped for full EG ID by M, jingle, and off. (11 Nov.)

11735 ZANZIBAR ZBC R. Just deadair at 1822. And again at 1841 and
1858 rechecks. So they must have been having problems. Finally found w/AR Pop
mx at 1950. Very good signal. (11 Nov.)

No sign of 7120 Hargeisa at 1828.

6135 IRAN V.O. Islamic Rep. of Iran Tlk by M anncr at 1843 t/in
1845 fanfare and a few mx bridges mixed w/M anncr, then cont. tlk. Long remote
rpt soundbite by M in FR. Then realized this was Iran, not Yemen. As long as
Iran is here at this time, Yemen will be impossible. Too much pulsing UTE QRM
from just below. (11 Nov.)

6155 INDIA AIR Delhi Mx weakly at 1843. Picked up very quickly
by 1855. Very nice signal at 1907 w/end of subcont. mx and M anncr w/ment of
radio, then back to mx. (11 Nov.)

7254.94 NIGERIA V.O. Nigeria 1918+ Eg nx pgm w/W host and many remote
report soundbites. Ments of Nigeria. Good signal, but like everyday, Hams
were just blasting them. (11 Nov.)

 6030 ETHIOPIA R. Oromiya Nice signal at 1932 w/slightly
distorted HoA mx. 1937 M DJ came in, and back to HoA mx at 1940. Would have
stayed with this to sign off but wanted to check the 60mb. (11 Nov.)

6180 IRAN V.O. Islamic Rep. of Iran 1942 M w/EG nx. Fanfare and
laser SFX, into mx bridge and EG ID and nx promo by W. This is sked to be in
RS at this time. (11 Nov.)

5066.326 DEM. REP. OF THE CONGO R. Candip Shocked to find Afro Hi-life
mx coming through easily at 1955!! Finally M anncr briefly at 2005, but right
back to mx. 2013 into what sounded like a Top 40 remake (can't recall title).
2016:40 M DJ briefly, then canned anmnt by W in FR, brief drum IS, and off at
2017:42. A BOG pointed in the right direction and quiet conditions certainly
helps. http://youtu.be/v-IhPkDKGU0 (11 Nov.)

4835 AUSTRALIA ABC Alice Spring Signal showing up at 2010. 2018
W briefly at recheck and M anncr. Sounded like EG at 2022. W at 2024. Promos
as usual at just before BoH at 2029, then unmistakable ABC nx fanfare, and W
w/nx. If not for the CODAR, it would have been much much easier. (11 Nov.)

4975.96 UGANDA UBC R. 2020:05 "UBC Radio" ID by M and tlk over mx.
2034 end of "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton, and into another Pop
song. 2038 into another C&W song. Nice signal w/very quiet conditions. 2041
M DJ between songs w/TC, ID, ment of upcoming nx, etc. Back to C&W mx at 2046.
Nice "This is UBC Radio" canned ID by W between songs at 2050:45. 2054:30
live M DJ nice ID, gave his name, and pgm name, etc. 2100 into "UBC News
Hour". Off at 2104. Modulation rather low. Incredible S9+10 by 2050, the
strongest signal on the band. Despite the C&W mx, it was very enjoyable
listening. http://youtu.be/yyI79Syh-0w (11 Nov.)

4760 LIBERIA ELWA 2100 end of pleasant rel. choral song, then W
anncr w/EG inspirational rel. tlk mentioning ELWA. Still going at 2106. Not
that strong quiet and clear. (11 Nov.)

4780 DJIBOUTI RTV Djibouti 2058-2100 traditional HoA mx. 2100 W
anncr, then into the Koran. Good by 2106. So good you could hear the echo
easily. (11 Nov.)

6089.85 NIGERIA R. Nigeria Kaduna 2110 nx by M in Hausa. 3 mentions
of Nigeria Kaduna at 2114:55. Unlike Uganda, this was distorted from being
overmodulated. Tremendous signal. (11
Nov.)

3375.07 BRAZIL R. Municipal Usual morning ZY Pop mx pgm w/W DJ
chatter in PT from 0906 tune in. 0909:15 ment of Municipal during W tlk. 0916
rooster crowing between songs. W returned at 0920. Mx audio level not as
strong as mic. Best at t/in of course but still there at 0955 w/canned anmnts.
 (12 Nov.)

9695 UNID. This continues w/OC here, hrd this morning at 0958.
(12 Nov.)

11735 ZANZIBAR ZBC R. Before I started recording Perseus files, I
checked to see if this was on and did indeed note a signal around 1520. No
audio. Later had audio at 1613

but it was very choppy as if disturbed. A little better by
1640 w/Pop mx and canned anmnt by M between songs. Koran at 1642, but back to
Pop mx by 1646. Nice Afro Hi-life

mx at 1658, W in Swahili briefly at 1659, usual drum IS,
time ticks at normal speed for once, then into pres. nx. 1758 nice canned ID
by M after deadair. Back to slow time

ticks at 1759, W w/ID and 3 min. Swahili nxcast, not EG.
(no power locally) (12 Nov.)

11645 NORTH KOREA V.O. Korea 1612 EG pgming w/usual boring cmntry
feature. Fair. (no power locally) (12 Nov.)

9730 VIETNAM V.O. Vietnam Just caught end of EG pgm at 1627 w/W
giving website info. Poor and choppy signal. (no power locally) (12 Nov.)

7550 INDIA AIR Bengaluru M anncr on very very brief peaks at
1734. Bits of mx at 1742. 1743 IS, and ID and sked by M at 1745. // 11670
which was very good. This freq improved dramatically in just 15 min. About
90% readable by 1805. Outstanding at 1830 w/end of subcont. mx and M w/ID and
pgm intro. And S9+15 at 1848. (no power locally) (12 Nov.)

6015 ZANZIBAR ZBC R. Came on the air at exactly 0247:43
w/apparent press feature abt Ebola by W in Swahili already in progress. Ments
of Ebola, New York, Liberia, etc.

Discussion w/reporter too. Ended at 0256, and into Afro
Pop mx. 0257:41 usual slow time ticks, W anncr w/ment of ZBC, and ending w/ment
of Koran. 0259 intro by M then

Koran until 0304 followed by M in preaching style. 6020
CRI (Albania) OC came on late at 0310 and then blasted out ZBC R. right as the
M ended at 0313:30. Good signal.

                    (13 Nov.)

9460.023 GUAM AWR Found off freq at 1113 w/RS pgming. Fair signal but
severe QRM from a UTE on 9459.41. (13 Nov.)

7275 CHINA Xinjiang PBS 1111-1132+ phone-in talk pgm w/M host in
Uyghur. Mostly serious-sounding but a lot of laughing at 1117. //9560. Both
freq kind of weak with 7275 QRMed often by Hams and 9560 clear. Audio sounded
a bit distorted. (14 Nov.)

4895 INDIA AIR Kurseong 1128 IS, then M anncr at 1129. (15 Nov.)

4835 AUSTRALIA ABC Alice Springs 1028 found in the clear as WWCR
had deadair once again. ABC Local R. promos, 1030 reintro. for the mx pgm,
then mx. WWCR still off at 1046. Fair signal. (16 Nov.)

9850 NORTH KOREA V.O. Korea 1039 orch. mx during the EG lang. pgm,
//6185 and 6170. This freq clear but only fair strength similar to 6170. 6185
best. (16 Nov.)

7435 VIETNAM V.O. Vietnam 1 Heard here all alone w/chime IS at
1058. Huge signal from CRI came on seconds before ToH. Was still able to hear
a W tlking through CRI a min. later. This was noted yesterday way above 7435
but right on freq today. (16 Nov.)

6110 CHINA Xizang PBS In Tibetan w/alternating tlk by M and W,
4920, 6200, and 7255. 4920 best and clearest. Others all about the same. (16
Nov.)

9695 UNID. OC came on at 0958:54 this morning. Quite strong.
Still no modulation that I can hear. Faded as usual. Still there at 1317
recheck but almost mixed in with the background noise visually in the display.
(17 Nov.)

4965 BRAZIL R. Alvorada Just missed getting an ID recorded at
0903 t/in. A lot of tlk by M DJ w/an occas. song. Rooster crowing SFX. Many
"Bom Dias". Long ad/promo block at 0929-0935 w/full ID and freqs by M at
0934:50 at the end. Rooster SFX again w/live M DJ, then into a song. Not bad
for this and modulation seemed a little higher today. (19 Nov.)

4747.59 PERU R. Huanta Dos Mil Slurred ID by live M morning DJ at 1014
t/in. Into pleasant soft OA campo song at 1015. CODAR ruined a fairly decent
reception. (19 Nov.)

6055 RWANDA R. Rwanda 2056:50 Promo/ID by M mentioning "...East
Africa Connection ?? Radio Rwanda", then live W DJ w/rapid tlk w/ments of
Rwanda, broadcast, Tanzania, ending with "...East Africa Connection ?? Bye bye
and goodnight", and she was even singing, then back to mx. Fairly good. (20
Nov.)

5000 CHINA BPM 2250 time ticks in between WWVs time ticks, 2259
repeating CW IDs. 5010 CNR1 doing well at the same time. (20 Nov.)

5939.76 BRAZIL Voz Missionaria Nice short ID at 2349:20. Very
disturbed conditions making it weaker than usual and sounding watery and
choppy. (21 Nov.)

6070 CANADA CFRX Big sudden signal increase at 1213.
http://youtu.be/CTx2Vtysk24 (26 Nov.)

5952.43 BOLIVIA R. Pio Doce 1013 morning nx pgm by M host w/ments of
Potosi. Remote rpter soundbites. 1015 ad break starting w/quick ID by M.
Phone ringing and whistle SFX during ads. Ment of Potosi. Back to nx at 1019
and almost immediately into soundbits. Best hrd in quite a while. Fairly good
signal at start but fading by 1020. QRM from 5955 CRI. (28 Nov.)

4865.015 BRAZIL R. Verdes Florestas Soft PT vcl song at 1035 t/in, 1036
full ID w/freqs by M over mx, then into what sounded like a morning rel. pgm.
Just good enough to copy. (28 Nov.)

9635.78 VIETNAM V.O. Vietnam 1 They finally decided to play the chime
IS for a minute at 1059, then 5+1 long time ticks, ID by W in VT, usual fanfare
then another ID w/ment of Hanoi. Good signal this morning too. (28 Nov.)

3320 NORTH KOREA Pyongyang BS 1151 finally tlk by W. Couldn't
//6400 as it had a UTE right on top. 2850 hrd throughout the half hour w/usual
opera-like songs. (28 Nov.)

4750 BANGLADESH Bangladesh Betar End of nx by W, nice ID at
1205:30, then apparent intro by M. Best signal yet this season. (28 Nov.)

4880 INDIA AIR Lucknow Carrier w/tone from at least 1208 to
1213, then AIR IS to 1215 when lady came on w/apparent opening anmnt. Nice to
hear Indians on 60m again. (28 Nov.)

5040 INDIA AIR Jeypore Quite audible at 1213 w/subcont. mx then
M anncr. One of many Indians hrd this morning. (28 Nov.)

11730 BELARUS R. Belarus Horrible buzzing signal at 2000 check.
http://youtu.be/HtkeW1PNYKg (28 Nov.)

6110 ETHIOPIA R. Fana Defective mic audio w/lady DJ, 2049. 100
hz tone/rumble. http://youtu.be/40579M8jJ8U (28 Nov.)

6050.027 UNID. Asyik FM?? Nothing but an OC on HCJB from 1110 this
morning, so it was easy to hear the het on this freq. A little mx noted weakly
towards 1200. Presumably Asyik FM on this freq. (29 Nov.)

15557 CLANDESTINE V.O. Tibet (via Tajikistan) *1230 opening
w/usual routine after 15548 finished. 15548 was QRMed by CNR1 jammer on 15550.
This freq had a little QRM from 15555 VOA until the signal went off shortly
after 15557 started, then it was clear and very nice. One of the strongest if
not the strongest I've ever heard V.O. Tibet here.
http://youtu.be/37_JTUDyPR8 (29 Nov.)

5910.03 COLOMBIA R. Alcaravan Found back on the air at 1045. ID
anmnt at 1102. Good. http://youtu.be/m7YSY0IvI5w (30 Nov.)

 11970 CLANDESTINE R. Free Asia/Sound of Hope 1356 W in CH
w/contact info. Caught an EG ID for R. Free Asia by M then at 1357 during CH
pgm. So that confirms why this outlet isn't // to 12560, 13890, or other Sound
of Hope freqs. This was weak but readable. (29 Nov.)

15070 PIRATE (EUROPE) Cupid R. Cut in on a song to air SSTV at
1612. More mx. Finally ID closing anmnt w/freq, rpt acknowledgements, etc.
over "Every Day is a Winding Road" by Cheryl Crow. (30 Nov.)

7265 UNID. Found the signal came on at 1212:58 and then mx about 5
seconds later which sounded subcont. W anncr at 1215 w/what could have been a
ment of Pakistan but that's very very uncertain. More mx and tlk but not
strong enough to get a clue. Definitely sounds Asian. India or Pakistan
perhaps?? Not HLR as nothing was there on the Twente web rx. And not CNR2 as
it signed on at 1230. http://youtu.be/jJg7kB-tKKM (1 Dec.)

6050 UNID. R. Nigeria, Ibadan?? Found w/African-accented EG rel.
tlk pgm at 2155. 2200 promo for "Revelation Chapel International" services at
"...Airport highway", followed by live M DJ "You've just listened to the 'Hour
of Revelation'. Join us next Monday at 9:30 for the next broadcast. The ?? is
next". Then into pgm "The Heathen Broadcast" to 2227. 2227-2230 what sounded
like PSAs w/African-accented EG. Phone # given once. HCJBs OC was coming up
strong after 2225, but could still tell there was a nxcast w/M anncr to at
least 2241 w/ments of Zambia and Liberia. Fairly strong at t/in.
http://youtu.be/EjR2w8SGc_8 (1 Dec.)
