We have depended on them for years of easy access to DIY parts, kits and, yes, a bit of technical expertise. I still have my DX150B sitting on a lab bench running 24/7 -- as it has since the day I bought it on November the 3rd, 1973! RS slowly drifted away from their die hard DIY electronics experimenter types over the years to cater to the latest fad -- and now they are adrift in irrelevance.
