** ARGENTINA. 15345v, Sept 8 at 1311, het no doubt caused by off-frequency LRA
--- except nothing else is known to be on 15345.0; should be RAE in Spanish
this hour M-F. Brazilians have been reporting much improved signal and
modulation from this --- as yet unchecked if the same on 11710.6v in our
evenings (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** AUSTRALIA [and non]. 9580, Sept 8 at 1338, RA is very poor during Daily
Planet music; it was better before 1300, I think. Must be a SID - propagation
blackout; compared to others: 9570 China via Cuba still VG; 12085 RA is JBA;
and 12075 RBA is good, from the tropix unlike Shepparton at 36+ degrees south:
still, auroral disturbance to block it must have been pretty far northward,
equivalent latitude to Enid north.

9580, Sept 10 at 1258, no signal from RA, nor on 12085; and this time 12075 RBA
is also inaudible. From 1259, 6170 RNZI is good and virtually the OSOB except
for 5830 WTWW. By 1311, RBA on 9720 is very poor and the others are still
inaudible. The figures from WWV at 12 don`t look that bad, except for the very
low solar flux:

``Solar-terrestrial indices for 09 September follow.
Solar flux 82 and estimated planetary A-index 58.
The estimated planetary K-index at 1200 UTC on 10 September was 2.
Space weather for the past 24 hours has been moderate.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G2 level occurred.
Space weather for the next 24 hours is predicted to be moderate.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G2 level are likely.``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** COLOMBIA. 6010, Sept 8 at 0556, rechecking for LV de tu Conciencia as heard
again about 24 hours ago: very poor signal with music, LAH, so probably LVC vs
Inconfid?ncia, unlike last night. Still nothing on 5910 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA [non]. 13605, Sept 8 at 1302, R. Mart? announcing that they are on
SiriusXM Canal 153, L-V at 9-medianoche = 01-04 UT Tue-Sat. Something new?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 710-, Sept 10 at 0559, XEDP 710 & XHDP 89.7 full ID for La Ranchera
de Cuauht?moc, Chihuahua, 0600 choral NA, running its off-frequency transmitter
tonight making low het with anything else (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** MEXICO? Some weak sporadic E reaches channel 2 video, Sept 8 at 1705 UT, in
& out; 1716 & 1723 some CCI again; 1723. Nothing showing on the 6m maps, but at
1755 there is, a few contact paths crossing over New Orleans; 1800 on 2, some
CCI and a bit of singing audio. Not even sure it`s Spanish, let alone Mexico
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1789, confirmed Wed Sept 9 at 1315 on WRMI
9955, just as some pulse jamming starts; none until then vs FG Radio. Tnx a
lot, Arnie! Also confirmed on WBCQ 7490 webcast, Wed Sept 9 at 2100. WORLD OR
RADIO 1790 ready for first broadcast Sept 10:
Thu 1130 WRMI 9955 to SSE
Thu 2100 WRMI 7570 to NW

Fri 2330 WRMI 5850 to NW

Wed 2100 WBCQ 7490v to WSW

Full WOR schedule:
http://www.worldofradio.com/radioskd.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7455, Sept 10 at 0549, WRMI is inaudible leaving the RTTY on 7455,
and only a JBA carrier on 7570, which normally blasts in at night. 5850 is only
poor, in severe propagation disturbance. It even reduces 5085 WTWW to JBA at
0551, and WWCR 4840 to very poor. The 90 m frequencies, 3215 WWCR and 3185 WWRB
are still making it altho not as strong as usual. Yet WWV says the K index at
06 was only 1.

9395, Sept 10 at 1310 past 1332, open carrier/dead air from WRMI on the TruNews
channel, one of few frequencies propagating. I believe it was OK when I tuned
by before 1300 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 650, Sept 10 at 0601 UT, CBS news Update until 0602 UT on WSM
Nashville, then national weather summary. Such a network strikes me as odd, but
has been that way for a while as in NRC AM Logs 2015 and 2014. WSM was
originally NBC for decades; it would be interesting to know the start and stop
dates for news network affiliations of major stations like this (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1080, Sept 9 at 0625 UT, KRLD has unusual QRM from a music station,
making fast SAH, maybe 15 Hz or so. Somewhat nullable, but too close to
opposite. Tried to get ID at 0659 UT Sept 9, but music station had lost out to
KRLD. I was also hearing this the night before. Fortunately, Steve Zimmerman in
Milwaukee notified me with the identity:

``MINNESOTA. 1080, KYMN, Sept. 5 0450-0505z. Wide-ranging music format, e.g.
Jazz, Blues Oldies; an enjoyable listen. Listed on FCCInfo as 1000 watts day,
10 watts night, ND. Clear ID at 0500: "KYMN Northfield." Signal peaked at
43444. Also heard Sept. 9 0430-0445z with music; solid ID at 0435. Signal:
33443. Most likely on daytime power; interesting format. Steve Zimmerman,
Milwaukee, WI. Rxs: ICF 5900W and Stewart-Warner 62TC16`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WORLD OF RADIO 1790, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1090, Sept 9 at 0637 UT, `Red Eye Radio` roughly N/S, unusual,
mutually nullable with Brother Scare from KAAY Little Rock to the east with 4
Hz SAH in between. Confirmed show by comparing to 820 WBAP originator of RER,
but WBAP is running way *behind* the affiliate. RER website knows of not a
single one on 1090:
http://www.redeyeradioshow.com/red-eye-radio-affiliates/
But the new NRC AM Log does: KTGO, Tioga ND, 1100/6 watts U1 = non-direxional,
so likely on day power (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1790, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** U S A. 1110, Sept 8 at 0620 UT, ME music, making 216/minute or 2.6 Hz SAH
with KFAB; no doubt still 50 kW daytimer KVTT TX. It was being heard a few
hours earlier by ABDXers as far away as SC and FL. Major lobe of its `day`
pattern is broadly to the SE (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9669.5-SSB, Sept 10 at 1257, intruder 2-way in Spanish. The SSB
really stix out in the middle of an exclusive SWBC band, but they don`t care if
they are noticed (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 1419 UT September 10

Yes, heard also at 0440 UT on Sept 11 in southern Germany, Greek language,
mx 0440-0500 and female presenter, and at 0500 UT news read by professionel
male news reader.

Stronger S=9+20dB signal on 9934.949 kHz footprint and more 13(!) buzz tone
peaks visible accompanied each sideband, each 275 Hertz apart frequency
distance, like a garden fence.

\\ 9420.006 kHz on S=9+15dB strength, but very clean crystal clear audio
feed quality.
