IRAN 13735 This morning in 0515-0555 UT came across of two broadband
spurious scratching sound signals in 22 mb.
IRIB Kamalabad 500kW 304degr unit S=9+30dB in Bosnian/Serbo-Croatian morning
program at 0520-0620 UT towards former Yugoslavia audience. Produces also
wideband spurious signals in 13653-13672 kHz and 13794-13806.5 kHz
frequency range.
But hit also 13670 kHz channel - rather low side 13669.971 kHz XJBS PBS
Xinjiang from Urumqi in Uighur language.
Others observed in 22mb at 0515-0555 UT on Nov 20 this morning:
13530 CHN CNR program noted as jamming against SOH Taiwan channel.
S=8-9 supposedly from western China Kashgar jamming stn ?
13570 CHN CRI Chinese from Xian site, 500 kW S=8
13580 THA US IBB Udorn Thani, Mashaal Radio, Pashto program, S=6
13639.985 kHz odd frequency of UAE Al Dhabbaya relay site,
fluttery S=9+25dB signal at 0515 UT, NHK World Radio Japan
in English, 250 kW at 315degr. 9.8 kHz wideband signal,
noted with sitar string instrument examples of Persian journey?
13650 KRE Voice of Korea Kujang, English sce, S=4-5 tiny signal only,
because of SoEastAsia azimuth 238deg, sidelobe into Europe rx.
13669.971 kHz CHN XJBS PBS Xinjiang from Urumqi in Uighur language. S=8
13700 CHN CNR13 program in Uighur, from Lingshi #725 bcast center, S=8
13710 D US IBB Radio Farda in Persian, scheduled from Lampertheim
Germany at 0530-0930 UT, S=8 in skip zone Germany
13780 IRN IRIB Kamalabad towards 178degr azimuth, in Arabic, S=9+10db
backlobe, Persian-Arabic language lesson heard at 0550 UT.
13830 BOT VoA French service strongly 350deg azimuth northwards,
noted at 0552 UT, S=9+10dB.
13865 IRN IRIB Spanish sce from Sirjan 500 kW powerhouse site, at 300deg
Tremendous S=9+40dB signal noted also into southern Germany.
13870 TWN SOH Chinese service at 0555 UT on Nov 20.

1455 announcement in unknown language, more music, so I`m dreaming of Myanmar,
but dashed at 1500 by accurate timesignal, CRI theme and off the air. Uplooked
later in EiBi & Aoki, 9590 listings show Thazin Radio is over at 1330; Taiwan
in Russian scheduled at 14-15, and CRI in Chinese at 15-16, so something`s out
of sync. HFCC would never include Taiwan or Myanmar, but does allege CRI via
Kashgar in Chinese starting, not ending at 1500. No break in transmission noted
during my monitoring. Probably all-CRI as they typically air musical pr?ludes

** CUBA. 4765, Nov 20 at 0147, no signal from R. Progreso, ceding the frequency
to CODAR swishes alone. Nominal schedule during standard time is 0130-0500, not

** IRAN. 13790, Nov 20 at 1423, Iran NA, poor signal, rough modulation, usual
ID and into Qur`an. It`s the VIRI Hindi hour via Sirjan (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX

** PERU [and non]. 5980, Nov 20 at 0110, JBA carriers from R. Chaski and
BBC/UAE, until 0111:24.5* the stronger one, Chaski auto-cuts off leaving a
barely-barely detectable weaker one. This is 11.5 seconds later than last check
one bi-nite ago, Nov 18 at 0111:13*, averaging 5.75 seconds later per. No reset

** SAUDI ARABIA. 13775.1, Nov 20 at 1420, poor signal in S Asian talk, i.e.

** SRI LANKA. 11905, Nov 20 at *0114:15 carrier on from SLBC, soon pr?lude
music, 2+1 mis-timesignal ending at 0115:17.5. Just barely audible now on the
IC-R75 with main E-W longwire moved from the FRG-7, whose NW/SE shorterwire

** TAIWAN [non]. 5985, Nov 20 at *0258, WRMI on with RTI Spanish sign-off(?)
mentioning broadcast at 0300 on 5985; interrupted at 0259:30 for Rudy Espinal
WRMI ID, 0300 back to RTI Spanish, news. Recheck at 0403, now it`s NHK in
Spanish as scheduled. I`m rechecking this since last night after 0400 I was
hearing Chinese language. Now there is some CCI underneath, usual AWR Turkish

** U S A. 6080, UT Fri Nov 20 at 0624, big open carrier off and on, no doubt
Greenville VOA about to modulate `International Edition` at 0630, still

0130, WBCQ is amid `Mennonite Radio`, playing folk music including Billy Bragg,
``Workers of the World, Unite``, not something you will hear from your
conventional far-right gospel huxters!
At 0213 check, 5109.70-CUSB is talking negatively about Islam. Next check at
0229 UT Friday Nov 20, this frequency 5109.70-CUSB has monolog dismissively
criticizing CBC coverage of terrorism in France, accusing CBC of being too
politically-correct, refusing to label it ``Islamic``. Refers to ``our show
Just Right`` --- is that its title? (That`s just after WOR has aired, confirmed
on 9330v.)
Anyhow, the Mennonite show started Oct 7 on 9330 instead, UT Thursdays at
01-02, which after DST would normally have shifted to 02-03, but now heard 24,
not 25 hours later on the other frequency.
Checking show website http://www.mennoniteradio.org there are no entries for
each episode since October 31! The How to Listen page has not been updated
either, still showing original 9330. Related church website is also outdated:

Can we sort this out from the WBCQ schedule pages? Yes, the ONLY 5110 entry for
UT Fridays is 02-03, `Just Right` but no website or other info except a hotmail
address. Perhaps it`s in reaxion to the political reversal in Canada`s elexion.
Nothing about `Mennonite Radio` on any WBCQ frequency, so maybe the airing I
heard was an inducement to get them to renew on a more propagable frequency?

Spanish on 930 other than WKY, clockwise from it, Raymie Humbert, Ph?nix AZ,

Spanish now:
``Uforia is the name of Univisi?n's radio division. And for what it's worth,
Alex Lucas's El Genio Lucas show is listed as airing on KAPR 930 AM and I saw

rarely refer to themselves by that term, but rather ``Christians``, as if there
were no others? Anyhow, another example of violation of Separation of Church
and State, as this emission is via US government`s IBB Tinang, PHILIPPINES
relay at 1530-1600, preceded by Hindi, Tamil and Malalayam, a third of an hour
each, from 1430. The Catholix have their own SW station in the Philippines, but

on exact footprint
5004.997 kHz,
but disturbed at times by high speed CW on 5006v kHz.
