Ruanda, a?o 1994.
hicieron falta artilugios m?s sofisticados.
Habyarimana y Jean Bosco Barayagwiza) est?n condenados a cadena perpetua. Y
As?,
hab?an extraviado. Esa visi?n te hac?a sentir muy poderoso?.
As? podemos aproximarnos a buscar formas para

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

** ALBANIA. 9855, March 28 at 2358, R. Tirana IS and off, no QRM at end of
Albanian hour to N America. Afterwards, a JBA carrier, presumably IBB Kuwait
and/or Chicom jamming scheduled for following hour only (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** BANGLADESH. 15505, March 30 at 1359:30 Bangladesh Betar IS is very poorly
audible, and 5+1 mis-timesignal ends at 1400:25.5.

15505, also March 31 at 1359 one play of 10-note IS is VP, before
mis-timesignal ending at 1400:27 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BELARUS. {not a log, yet, but in case you haven`t heard ---} 11730, R.
Belarus, is allegedly having its SW, MW and LW transmitters closed down
permanently at local midnight, 2100 UT March 31. I never have any luck hearing
this but will try one last time. On Thursdays, 2000-2020 in Spanish, 2020- in
English normally until 2200, and // 11930 which no way is going to make it past
Cuban jamming and Radio Mart? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1819, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHAD [and non]. 6165, March 29 at 0548, can still detect another slightly
offset carrier under RHC, presumed RNT. Also March 30 at 0546, fast SAH from
understation (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA [and non]. 7405, March 30 at 0550, wall of noise jamming against
nothing, since R. Mart? no longer uses this frequency overnight. It is on 7365,
which is atop lite pulse jamming, normally reserved for standby situations.

11930, March 30 at 0557, mixed in with the wall-of-noise jamming against
nothing are those irregular beeps again, this time only two at a time, the
first one longer, i.e. like N in Morse code. Then some are strung together like
C in Morse. With BFO, pitches change as they are slightly displaced away from
11930.00. 11930, March 31 at 0642, I am again hearing some N`s amid noise.

13605, March 31 at 1423 RM VG with no jamming, wall-of-noise still stuck on
ex-frequency 13820; other RM frequency 11930, however, is totally buried in
jamming (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** EAST TURKISTAN. 17630, March 31 at 1407, CRI English discussing how to
prevent suicides in Beijing subways, S9 with deep fades, so is it Urumqi or
Bamako, MALI? Yes, once again this A-season, both are registered at 14-15 on
17630, but I`m sure I`m getting Urumqi, while other list-loggers will imagine
Mali. At 12-14 it`s only Urumqi, and at 15-16 it`s only Bamako (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** GOA. 9810, March 30 at 1241, OK carrier but modulation is a big motorboating
sound, off at 1243. Not bleed from 9805, no jamming yet against Mart?. I bet
it`s the defective transmiter in GOA: yes, HFCC shows 250 kW, 120 degrees from
Panaji at 1100-1245 in Tamil and Telugu (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** JAPAN [and non]. 11705, March 29 at 1406, NHK World Radio Japan, good at
S9+10. A-16 English schedule shows several changes; from HFCC:
0500, 5975 UK, 11970 France
1100, 11695 Singapore [new time] (+Fri only token DRM 9765 UK)
1200 broadcast is GONE!
1400, 11705 Palau, 15735 Uzbekistan
1800, 9755 South Africa
1930, 9645 Japan, 9710 Vatican [NEW time]

11705, again March 31 at 1418, S9-S6, about transmitting Korean culture to
Japan; JBA carrier on 15735 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1819, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA NORTH [non]. 5935, March 31 at 1355, very poor signal, talk maybe in
English, as expected on Thursday from Sea Breeze/Shiokaze, JAPAN, on new
frequency ex-7400 as first reported by Ron Howard. Still a carrier at 1401, as
there may be some extended broadcasts (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 11600, March 30 at 1346, Denge Kurdistanye with Kurdish
talk, 1350 some music plus hum, 1359 music, 1400 back to talk; 1416 still
talking with hum, and S9 to S9+10, compared to S8-S9 at tune-in; still much
weaker than 11860, YEMEN [non], S9+20/30 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO
1819, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MADAGASCAR. 9535, March 28 at 2335, usual poor signal from RHC, but maybe
there is some CCI under it, the otherwise yet unconfirmed Chinese hour of MWV,
55 degrees to E Asia.

9600, March 28 at 2359, JBA carrier, cuts off and on and off and on, apparently
stays from 0001.4 March 29, 0003 very poor talk audible. Presumably MWV English
hour to central Africa in middle of their night, but much weaker than their
other broadcasts I am monitoring. Also March 30 at 0037, JBA carrier and traces
of talk.

David Kernick, UK, heard it much better March 31. It seems this hour identifies
quite differently from the others in English as ``African Pathways Radio`` --
``Madagascar World Voice was observed signing-on at 0000 UT on 31 March 2016 on
9600 kHz, as follows: "From the beautiful region of the Indian Ocean, this is
Your New Life Station [I take that capitalisation from references on the KNLS
website "What's Going On?" page] This transmission starts in one minute". After
promised minute of the 'Chariots of Fire' IS (as used by KNLS) came their
signature tune and introductory announcement: "From the top of the world and
from the beautiful region of the Indian Ocean, this is Your New Life Station,
broadcasting over the air and online". It seems that World Christian
Broadcasting's new station identification varies according to language and
target area``.

17640, March 29 at 1800, sufficient signal in English, excited host about first
week on air, thankfully brief vuvuzela blast from African Pathways Radio.

17640, March 30 at 1857, sign-off announcement mentions only this 18 on 17640
and 04 broadcast on 9480, which we have found to be duplicates, as the other
English broadcasts are not from ``African Pathways``; brief OC and off (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non non]. 17765, March 29 at 1917, Brother Scare is S9+40
here, and also on 17815 only S9+10, and one second ahead of 17765, so two
different sites? No, HFCC A-16 shows both as WHRI. They replace 17530 and 17610
in B-15. Full span registered to these, not necessarily all in use: 17815 at
19-21, 250 kW at 85 degrees; 17765 at 18-22, 250 kW at 315 degrees. Meanwhile,
BS also on 17790 WRMI, S9+10 but very undermodulated. At 2022 recheck, 17815 is
off, 17765 still on and 17790 also off, early (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST) See also USA: WRMI

** SPAIN. 17855, March 30 at 1900, REE is VG at S9+30, timesignal and discuss
in Spanish English league football (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TIBET [non]. 15553, March 31 at 1358, JBA carrier, smax of yet another
frequency change of Voice of Tibet via TAJIKISTAN, and/or ChiCom jamming. I bet
Ivo has it in his latest update ? yes, as of March 31:
1345-1400 on 15553 DB 100 kW / 131 deg to CeAs Tibetan
1400-1415 on 15553 DB 100 kW / 131 deg to CeAs Tibetan
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TURKEY. 15450.053, March 30 at 1245, very poor signal with trace of
modulation, i.e. VOT on A-16 frequency allegedly in English, and yes, like
ex-12035+ an hour later, this one is also off-frequency high. By 1309 has
improved to S1 during music (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U K [non]. 9650, March 29 at 0150, 0200, 0255 and 0320 chex, NO signal from
BBCWS in English, as heard the night before, so evidently it was a mistake (by
SENTECH? Or a test, from Woofferton?).

But it had happened before, as reported by Mark Taylor, WI in the NASWA
Flashsheet: ``9650, UNKNOWN. BBC, 0157, 3/21/16. Series of promos for BBC, Time
pips, teaser for "Forum" program, news; QRM from likely Turkey in SS under.
Fair`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1819, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 17530, March 31 at 1408, S9+20 steady open carrier, no doubt
Greenville testing before 1700-1830 broadcast in English as now scheduled, so
now we do have a chance at excellent VOA reception off the back at midday.
17530 had been occupied by WHRIBS in B-season. Besides 1700-1830 via GB, VOA is
also using 17530 from other sites at 1300-1700, 1830-1930, and again GB in
French at 1930-2030 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [non]. 15630, Tue March 29 at 1922, African language good signal until
1930* ``VOA, Washington`` ID and off. HFCC shows this is Tigrigna, 300 kW at
126 degrees from Woofferton UK, M-F at 1900-1930, following daily 1800-1900
Amharic, and M-F 1730-1800 Oromo. Why can`t they say ``VOA, Woofferton``??
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1818 monitoring: confirmed Mon March 28 at
2335 on WBCQ 9330-CUSB, slightly on the lo side. Also confirmed Tue March 29
from 2329:43 on 9329.95-CUSB. This almost daily transmission is habitually
starting a bit before 2330 now. (By 0015 recheck during Blalock the Blaster,
has drifted up to 9329.985.)

Also confirmed Wed March 30 from 1315:32 on WRMI 9955, sufficient, no jamming.
A couple seconds of music intervened after the gh ID at 1315:00. Also confirmed
Wed March 30 on WBCQ webcast, between ID and start of WOR at 2100, a bit of
noise and sounds like the words ``I`ve yet``. Also on 7489.91 at 2128 check,
but very poor now in noise level. (At 2329 recheck during `The Next Chapter`,
drifted to 7489.83.) WOR also confirmed Wed March 30 after 2330 on 9330.00-CUSB.

Tim Gaynor`s low power station in NSW, Unique Radio on 3210, has added WORLD OF

** U S A. 9955, March 29 at 0550, WRMI again with eclectic music concert this
hour instead of BS, S9+10; 0553 Hawai`ian song.

11530, March 31 at 0645, BS is very poor but matchable to very strong 7570, and
about equal to weak 11580, so for A-16, WRMI has resumed 11530 after
experimenting with it a couple weeks ago, replacing 11920? Yes, per sked grid
dated March 27, 11530 is #4 at 22-12 UT including 00-01 Taiwan in Spanish,
01-02 F?mily Radio in Spanish; elsewhen nothing but BS and paired at 12-22 UT
with day frequency 17790, both at 160 degrees (the other Taiw?n relay hour is
03-04 on 5985).

9955 & 11580, once again March 31 at 1416, both with music instead of BS (who
is on 11565, etc., etc., etc.) and not the same music: 9955 in Mideastern at
the moment (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 7489.87-AM, UT Wed March 30 at 0016, on WBCQ, TimTron is hosting a
show explaining how frustrating grinding crystals can be, which he has had to
do for new frequency 5130 ex-5110 in ``transmitter-2``. Apparently there are
two of those, or two exciters, BC-610 and FT-243. As I have wondered, why not
use frequency synthesizers? He says, KISS, xtals require one tube or
transistor, rather than a rack or even a room of equipment.

He also hopes to get 3250 up soon, like in two weeks. He was working on it
Saturday, but the Q was too low, leading to risk of harmonic radiation; fixing
that. Had high voltage flashover problems, would not work, so he quit for the
time being.

Trying to do call-in, but phone wouldn`t work at first since it was still
forwarding to Allan in Florida. Unclear whether this was really live or a
playback but scheduled for UT Wed 00-01 is an Allan Weiner Worldwide repeat.
0100 cut abruptly to Brother Scare, so probably a playback (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 9275, March 29 at 1920, no signal from WMLK, while neighbor 9265 WINB
is S8. Seems reactivated WMLK is appearing less and less; why bother at all
with sesquidecade-old stuff? Because that doesn`t stop lots of other gospel
huxters (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 15555-USB, March 29 at 1931, usual sole gospel huxter John Hill,
defunct, on WJHR. Haven`t noticed it for some time, unsure whether irregular
operation or skip has been too long beyond Milton FL (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** VATICAN. 7250 // 6070 // 3975, March 30 at 0548, Latinish mass from Vatican
Radio now audible on all three, azimuths respectively 26, 326, 330, continuing
to collide unnecessarily with CFRX 6070 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 4766.0, re the unID carrier I have logged several times, we can
forget about it as a broadcaster. Ron Howard reports:

``4766.0, strong open carrier at 1144 on March 28. Jim Young (Calif.) informed
me today "Have been listening to this O/C for hours this AM while working.
Ever-so-often, I hear the tell-tale RTTY come on --- very infrequently! Still
at 1436." Thanks to Jim for solving the mystery! Afraid I did not have the
patience to listen to this OC for hours (Ron Howard, Asilomar State Beach, CA,
Et?n E1, antenna: 100' long wire, dxldyg via DX LISTENING DIGEST)``

Walt Salmaniw, BC, adds on March 29: ``More on the mystery 4766. I'm hearing it
for hours after LSR. It seems identical to the signal on 3287. I now think it's
from this side of the Pacific. 100% not India. Way too strong. That's it from
Masset! 73, Walt`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1819, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11460-USB, March 30 at 1312, presumed Indonesian QSO pirate with
some vocal music off and on, 1313 sounds like country song in English. 1317
another song fragment, 1324 C&W still, and 1343. Meanwhile others less musical
are at neat 5-kHz intervals as if these channels are well-planned: 11405,
11410, 11425, 11440, 11450. And everyone is on-frequency making for easy tuning
at 1- or 5-kHz steps.

More of this on March 31 at 1410: 11425 stands out, with pileups of competing
vocal noises, some verging on singing past 1414, 1425. Others active on 11405,
11410, 11415, 11440, 11450, 11455, 11465-music (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
