it`s RTA via FRANCE. Aoki claims the language is French, but I daresay it`s
still in Arabic. It would be interesting if somestation attempted to sing the
Qur`an in translations, which are certainly available, but presumably
blasphemous to do that (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CHINA. 15120, June 11 at 0558, Chinese and music, very poor S3-S5. I`m
checking in case Nigeria should be active here, as it`s missing from 7255- and
9690-. But VON is not even listed at this hour on 15120 by Aoki; instead this
is CRI Mandarin via Beijing site. 15160, June 11 at 0558, another Chinese
signal. Aoki shows this one has been CRI Cantonese via Jinhua site (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** FRANCE. 13725, Sat June 11 at 0603, RFI sole English hour is S4-S6, too poor
to stay with it as I had hoped for `Sound Kitchen` at 0615 (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** GREECE [and non]. 11645, Sun June 12 at 0615, no signal from VOG, nor on
9420, apparently off now instead of Orthodox Sunday-morning chanting. Maybe
that was going before 0600; my previous check just after 0400 found 9420 was on
the air with music. 11645 was also primarily occupied as usual at 0552 check by
R. Dabanga via VATICAN, still here ex-11650 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
** JAPAN. 11975.00, June 12 at 0622, S7-S8 singing, trying to place, SE Asian?
But listed as NHK in Arabic via FRANCE (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** OKLAHOMA. 104.9, June 11 at 2330 UT, open carrier/dead air, from KKWD
Bethany, until finally remodulates at 2333. Meanwhile the RDS is funxioning
into the DX-398, which says, in several different fields, repeating but not
scrolling:

It`s 6 kW, 100 meters from this west-side suburb of OKC. radio-locator.com
shows its address is in Denver!
Which reminds me, I`ve yet to hear my closest 104.9 just west of Enid in
Ringwood. It`s KEUC, and radio-locator.com says it ``operating under a
construxion permit`` yet ``is currently off the air``. 400 watts at 78 meters,
and the CP expires Sept 27, 2016. Owned by Oklahoma Catholic Broadcasting

** SAUDI ARABIA. 15380, June 11 at 0559, Qur`an. Aoki shows BSKSA has started
here at 0545, but CRI Beijing site is also listed, unheard despite making it on

** SOUTH CAROLINA [non non]. 17815, Sunday June 12 at 1351, Brother Scare is
here, on a WHRI frequency; strangely, today`s Aoki shows no US stations anywhen
on 17815. But HFCC has WHRI registered available 13-21 UT, 85 degrees toward
Africa. And Ivo Ivanov reports:
