** CYPRUS [non]. 9955, Wed June 15 at 1300-1315, WRMI with FG Radio --- nothing
but classic rock tunes including Marvin Gaye, interspersed with Famagusta
Gazette promos in English and French --- no real news from Cyprus, let alone
Greece, Turkey, southern Europe on this program (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 97.7, June 13 at 1638 UT, stereo music, gospel? 1704 UT ad for
Altus, then Stockman`s Bank July 4 ad already, 1705 UT southwest Oklahoma
forecast, highs 101 the next few days, ID ``KHIM, Classic Hits 97.7``. This one
is really in Mangum OK, 2.25 kW, not bad at 140 miles == 224 km. Altho I was
looking for Es DX.

BTW, WTFDA Database shows *three* 97.7s in the OKC area: LPs in OKC and Midwest
City, translator in El Reno, all of which would seem far too short-spaced
(Glenn Hauser, Enid, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 101.3, June 13 at 1735 UT, Lawton local ads, and static RDS reads
KLAW_101. IIRC, this was originally on 101.5 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** SPAIN. 17855, June 14 at 1809, REE is finally reactivated on its North
American frequency. It had been missing since at least June 5 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U K. 11800, June 14 at 0559, something in French, good S9+10, no ID heard,
0600 into M&W news, TC for 6 heures. It`s BBC via Woofferton at 0600-0630 since
April 14 per HFCC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1829 monitoring: confirmed Monday June 13 at 2330 on
WBCQ, 9329.955-CUSB. Also confirmed Tue June 14 at 2130 on WRMI 15770, JBA.
Also confirmed Tue June 14 at 2333 check on WBCQ 9329.98-CUSB, fair. Also
confirmed Wed June 15 at 1315.5 on WRMI 9955, good. Next:
Wed 2100 WBCQ 7490v to WSW
Wed 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 96.5, June 13 at 1651 UT, Spanish music CCI to the two marginal
Okies, KECO Elk City and KRAV Tulsa. Promo or program announcement as ``El Show
de Piolín``, desde Hollywood, talking about Orlando. 1659 UT still trying to
overcome, and at 1700 it does briefly with two clear non-IDs as ``La Tricolor``
by super-hype voice actor. 1707 UT another peak of some Spanish music mixing
with KECO.

Cantú list as of Feb 2015 showed no such slogan in Mexico on 96.5. Then try
WTFDA FM Database which covers USA and Mexico, plus more. Only hit on 96.5 and
Radio Tricolor is: KXPK Evergreen CO, 100 kW, and it must be on a mountain,
10764 feet ASL per radio-locator.com (plus a 0.5 kW booster in Boulder,
KXPK-FM1).

That`s surprising as under 500 miles, but there is a heavy Es opening, mainly
eastern USA up to 106 MHz, but moving westward, so quite possible. If it`s
really in Evergreen, SW of Denver, would be 463 miles from Enid = 745 km.
Further searching finds that syndicated morning show is indeed on KXPK, and
several other Tricolor stations of the Entravision group in other markets, but
KXPK is the only one known on 96.5; station website is
http://www.965tricolor.com/ and, yes, from its logo, the three colors refer to
Mexico`s red-white-green flag, not some other United States.

FM DXing here is very frustrating, with almost all channels or
adjacent-channels occupied, and high humidity today enhances the Oklahomans,
even at ``noon``, which is more like 10:30 am by solar time. Most of my other
logs involve fringe Oklahomans, q.v. This is on the DX-398, only with
manipulable whip, on south-facing porch near ground level, hoping to minimize
nearer signals, my preferred FM DXing spot; backed up by the PL-880 right next
to it, which was getting the Tricolor ID peak better (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST) See also UNIDENTIFIED 99.3

** U S A. 93.1, June 14 at 2030 UT, Es opening has somethings overcoming Pratt
KS, E-93 and ad for Jacksonville, stereo; 2031-2032 UT Strayer University ad in
Savannah GA and .edu web; Georgia lottery; tune in WSAV channel ``3``. 2038
another Savannah ad for marine batteries. E-93 is WEAS-FM, 96.64 kW H & V in
Springfield GA, which is near Savannah to the north. 984 miles = 1584 km to
Enid.

As for Jacksonville, no 93.1 there, but the closest is WKRO-FM, Port Orange
(Daytona), so uncertain whether I had that mixing, or WEAS mentioned
Jacksonville for some reason (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 92.9, June 14 at 2047 UT, iHeart Radio app promo mentions Las Vegas,
but doubt it`s a NV station. 2048 ad for Husqvarna Day at Darlington Chainsaw
in Darlington; 2049 Food Lion Feeds, reusable bags. Darlington is in SC, and
via Es must be from nearby 100/100 kW WEGX Dillon SC, licensed to AMFM Radio
Licenses LLC, so is that a front for iHeart or was that from something else?
Dillon is 1051 mi = 1691 km from Enid (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11605, June 14 at 0605, no signal unlike 24 hours earlier someone
playing ABBA and other rock music (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. NTSC channel A2, June 13 at 2217 UT, fade-in video only of a map
of Mexico (I think), with weatherwoman standing at left, but labeled in English
FORECAST RADAR; then switch to anchorman and fade-out. Ideas? (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. NTSC channel A2, June 14 at 2013 UT, traces of video, during
large sporadic E opening, up to 106 MHz including 6m between Cuba and Arkansas,
maybe Oklahoma (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 95.3, June 13 at 1636 UT as I am bandscanning for Es DX, here`s a
weak signal with an ad giving a typical OKC address (NW 82nd Street), so what`s
there? An 8-watt translator, K237GH of KTLV-1220: seem unlikely. What else in
OK? A 99-watt Chickasha translator of The House, 88.5 KZTH (originating with
89.7, legal IDs with an ever-lengthening string of satellites and translators).
And the WTFDA FM Database has one more: 100-watt KHVJ-LP in Spanish religion,
city merely as ``Oklahoma``, not Oklahoma City. Where is it, really? Yes, OKC,
Estéreo Restauración, as reported from a previous visit (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 95.3, June 13 at 1706 UT, slogan as ``Today`s Best Music, Match
95`` or something like that. Uncertain whether Es or a marginal Oklahoman as
heard earlier on 95.3. WTFDA finds two, searching on ``Today’s Best`` -- WCFX
Clare WI, 6 kW. ``Today`s Best Music``, and WXRO Beaver Dam WI, 6 kW, ``Today`s
Best Country`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 99.3, June 13 at 1641 UT, during Es opening, some Spanish QRMing
Brit-accented ``Mark Stein in for Rush Limbaugh`` which I suspected was KLOR
Ponca City, but per EIB listing must have been KCLI-FM Cordell OK, as in Ponca
he`s on WBBZ-1230, and 99.3 later bore KLOR without Rush/Mark.

No Coloradans on 99.3 are listed as Spanish, but later got 96.5 Spanish
apparently KXPK. WTFDA Database can be searched on frequency and language only,
which leads to five USSS stations, in CA, NV, WA, TX, PA. And of course, lots
of Mexicans, whence there could have been a separate opening, but nothing
further to authenticate that (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
