UNIDENTIFIED. 9284.937, June 29 at 0020, JBA carrier. Maybe something local,
but possibly a broadcaster. Nothing currently listed, not even SOH in Aoki, but
WINB has defined the band down to 9265; and HFCC has a registration for Cairo
on 9280, not active per Aoki and EiBi (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. 9655.00, June 29 at 0025, S9+10 signal where normally there is
nothing, and nothing listed, continuous S Asian (?) singing with instruments.
Sounds quite repetitive, maybe a long loop? No breaks at all until 0100 time
signal a few seconds late and into Arabic? talk; 0104 sounds like a drama, or
maybe just a commercial. I don`t have time to follow this closely, but 0221
recheck still on, weaker at S9 with Arabic talk. I guess it`s a special for
Ramadan and suspect #1 is Algeria, which via France is already using 9655 at
20-22 UT. On that idea at 0500, I check the very weak RTA signal on 7295 and
find its timesignal is also about 5 seconds late. I posted this to the DXLD yg
at 0230, but no replies. We`ll see if this recur 24 hours later.
It doesn`t: JBA carrier on 9655 at 2157 June 29, but no signal after 2200;
except JBA carrier detectable from algo at 2341; none at further chex June 30
after 0000, 0030, 0130 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1832, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
