** BRAZIL. 11578 & 11982 approx., July 24 at 0606, now RNA 11780 is emitting
second-order extremely distorted scratchy spurs, not only at plus/minus 101
kHz, but 202 from fundamental, which still sounds OK!
11982, found first is S5-S9
11881, is S9+10 and QRMing an Arabic on 11880 = AWR AUSTRIA
11679, is S4-S9
11578, is S3-S7 and QRMing 11580 WRMIBS! (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHINA. 4940, July 24 at 1100, I notice that the timesignal from Voice of
Strait, Fuzhou, ends 9.5 seconds late. Please set your clock to BPM! (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHINA [and non]. 13790.092, July 24 at 0600 bandscan in USB mode at 1 kHz
steps on R75, stands out as an off-frequency hetter, so what is it? Only thing
scheduled is RFA Chinese via SAIPAN at 03-07. But as I am jockeying back and
forth to measure it, a second very weak signal appears, presumably closer to
13790.000 but making measuring either difficult, maybe 13790.023. Audio from
one or both is Chinesish. I suspect IBB Agignan Point is the one more likely to
be further off than the CNR1 jammer (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 630, July 24 at 1103, full ID for XEFB, Monterrey NL, by SHVA
(super-hype voice actor), probably after 6 am NA, mentions fb630.com Poor
signal. Here`s the program grid page, rather incomplete especially on weekends:
http://fb630.com/programacion
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 710, July 24 at 1104, choral NA and 1105 full ID as ``XEDP, La
Ranchera de Cuauht?moc``, Chihuahua plus sung ID. Not the usual SRS bigsig we
get, but barely audible, poor with CCI, so maybe closer to 100 watt night power
than 7000 day? At least they are using the on-frequency transmitter; in fact,
come to think of it, have not heard their off-frequency hetter from second
transmitter site lately (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SOLOMON ISLANDS. 5020, July 24 I have the usual JBA carrier from SIBC, just
enough to time its cutoff at 1201:19.5* (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1650, July 24 at 1121 UT, local El Paso interview show, unseems about
sports, in Spanish, but both speakers have a slight Anglo accent. Mentioning
``high school`` (?j?iscul?) and registration date 5 de agosto, for that or El
Paso Community College, phone 831-2424. Need to listen in USB to minimize local
1640 KZLS, even when nulled as it`s close to 90 degrees away from EP. 1130 UT
outro show as on an FM and ``ESPN Deportes 16-50``. 1131 UT on to another show
discussing the Republican National unConvention. The FM would be another
Entravisi?n one, as in their roster:
http://www.entravision.com/all-stations/
93.9, KINT, Jos? or
94.7, KYSE, La Tricolor, altho they have an English one too:
92.3, KOFX, Oldies
Checking the ``Shows`` for each, what I heard are too insignificant to be
mentioned, and no complete program schedules for any (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

This report dispatched at 1550 UT July 24

DAY-BY-DAY ARCHIVE OF GLENN HAUSER`S LOG REPORTS:
Unedited, uncondensed, unchanged from original version, many of
them too complex, minutely researched, multi-frequency, opinionated,
inconsequential, off-topic, or lengthy for some log editors to
manage; and also ahead of their availability in these weekly issues:
