Yes, Radio Australia at 20.15 UT July 27
noted STILL audio distortion on 9580 kHz channel,
S=9+10dB or -64dBm signal heard in Brisbane Australia.

2 x 4.2 kHz wide signal, not bad.

Fair signal in Nagoya Tokyo Japan on 12065 kHz
but very poor on 9580 kHz,
lower on bad tiny threshold on 12085 kHz channel.

** ALBANIA. 9854.97, July 28 at 0140 check, R. Tirana is back on tonight at
S7-S9, but program modulation is again way down below the humbuzz (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** ARGENTINA. 11710.40, July 27 at 0022, RAE with a tango at S2.
11710.540, July 28 at 0228, now RAE is up closer to its usual spot, S7-S9
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** AUSTRALIA. 9580, July 27 at 1319, S9+30 R. Australia during `The Daily
Planet` world music ruined by very distorted, overmodulation, emulating R.
Habana Cuba on numerous frequencies such as 9710 right now; and still so past
1400 news. Other // RA frequencies are OK, tho as always much weaker: 12065
S4-S6, 12085 S5-S8. Ron Howard, CA, also noted the RA problem from 1230 as did
Jerry Lenamon, TX as late as 1500, wondering if no one is paying attention at
Shepparton until the next shift? Kai Ludwig reminds us that Shep is indeed
unmanned overnight in Australia.

17840, July 28 at 0151, RA is OK now, S9+10, presumably same transmitter as was
on 9580, unless they swapped to an alleged backup, at least on same 70 degree
antenna toward Oklahoma. Always weaker 15240 seems to sound OK, and as usual
the third frequency 15415 is JBA here (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1836,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** EGYPT. 9330 approx., July 28 at 0116, S8 R. Cairo humbuzzy spur is around
here tonight, audible between 9327 and 9345, same sound as on equally useless
fundamental 9315 which is slightly stronger at S9. Before 0100 it would have
blasted Blalock on WBCQ; sorry I missed hearing that confrontation! (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTEING DIGEST)

** SRI LANKA. 11905, July 28 until 0115:18, mis-timesignal of SLBC is JBA
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 12350.0-USB, July 27 at 1322, WCY, Lakeland FL, discussing tropical
weather outlook for sailors and contacting them, but unheard if on same
frequency. Net starts at 1230. Used to be in the clear, but now I constantly
have a QRMing carrier about 12350.13, and varying slightly --- maybe of local
origin. Also has CODAR pulses to combat. WCY is more readable if I tune toward
12350.10 to eliminate the audible het, yet while making WCY`s voice slightly
off-pitch (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1835 monitoring: confirmed Wednesday July 27 at 1315.5
on WRMI 9955, good S9+10 with no jamming, following the gh WRMI ID at 1315.0.
Also confirmed on WBCQ webcast, Wednesday July 27 at 2100, following four notes
of music after the ID; and on 7490 at 2120 check but JBA. Also confirmed Wed
July 27 after 2330 on WBCQ, 9329.93-CUSB, fair.

Wed 2100 WBCQ 7490v to WSW
Wed 2330 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 11580, July 28 at 0233, WRMI playing a song in German --- sounds like
part of the World Music block again, despite `Word of Deliverance` appearing on
the schedule 7 days a week at 0200-0300. That`s a relatively new show, and does
not appear on the Programming info page, but we can guess what it`s about; gone
again already? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 5085, July 27 at 0543 check, WTWW-2 is finally back on the air, S9+30
after missing a few weeks from this and from day frequency 9930. But rock music
is playing rather than `Midnight [sic] in the Desert` which had been scheduled
at 05-08 UT Tue-Sat. Day frequency of WTWW-2, 9930 is also back now: July 27 at
1801, 6+ minute CCrane commercial by Ted, 1807 resuming the 3-hour Dave Ramsey
Show; but at 1847 check the air is dead, and at 1927 the transmitter is off
again.

12105, July 28 at 0113, WTWW-3 is S5-S7 but dead air; still so at 0150 --- and
9475, WTWW-1 is also dead air but doing so at S9+30. Upon the banks of the
Upper Cumberland River, wake up! Or not --- who really wants to listen to two
Pastors Petes Peterses? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
