I've logged 29 different VoK/KCBS frequencies here in the rural central interior of Alaska.
A few months ago I was wondering why some of their signals to me were so strong even though I am not in their target area whatsoever. Well, someone figured and subsequently came up with a map showing that depending on what part of the USA that VoK is targeting, not only is the shortest path to the lower 48 go through Alaska, that path is right through the village I live in.
