GUATEMALA, 4055, Radio Verdad, Chiquimula out of air. I sent and e-mail
to Radio Verdad Director's Edgar Madrid, to inform him that this
station is without signal here in Spain for at least a week. Hi replays
in 30 minutes telling that because a black-out the transmitter was
damage and will be out of air for a month:
"Debo informarle que, el día de anteayer suspendimos nuestras
transmisiones de Radio Verdad onda corta, porque, como consecuencia de
un apagón de energía eléctrica, se dañaron la tarjeta de Audio y la
tarjeta de control en nuestro transmisor. Ahora tenemos que financiar la
llegada del Ingeniero desde Canadá para repararlas y revisar todo el
transmisor. Estamos comenzando a reunir como Q.1,000.00 dólares para su
llegada desde Canadá.
Nuestro transmisor estará fuera del aire como por un mes."
