** BRAZIL [and non]. 11760-11780, Dec 16 at 1905, 2157 chex, no signals, proper
or otherwise from RNA, unlike yesterday. Later we get a tip from Manuel Méndez,
Spain, that the other RNA frequency, 6180 was heard with ID at 2125. Maybe they
only have one transmitter semi-usable. By the time I`m back at the dials, 2342,
could be RNA mixing with CRI, but S8 weaker than adjacents 6175 and Mexico
6185. By 0007 Dec 17, only a JBA carrier on 6180. CRI schedule is 2200-2257
Mandarin, 2300-2357 Cantonese, both via Kunming. Then there`s Iran in Spanish
on 6180 at 0020-0320 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CHINA [and non]. 11635, Dec 16 at 2355, CNR1 echo jamming against music
station, presumably Taiwan in Chinese scheduled 2230-0030; but Aoki shows Voice
of Korea also on 11635, 1830-0020, the last hour in Korean (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGETS)

** NETHERLANDS [non]. 5960, Saturday Dec 16 at 2348, Voice of TURKEY signs off
English, starts playing IS. Tonight I am monitoring continuously to see what
happen when The Mighty KBC start its weekly broadcast at 0000 UT Sunday via
GERMANY.

VOT keeps going with IS but no IDs; 2356 a slight glitch in the music, maybe
feed input switch, and then repeated more often than once a minute over music,
``Die Stimme der Türkei``, so as I have been warning, the sloppyrators at
Emirler are overrunning 5960 tonight with German, instead of turning it off
after English. Nauen carrier from *2359 comes on atop, producing fast SAH with
off-frequency Turkey.

UT Sunday Dec 17 at 0000 timesignal presumably from VOT, as KBC starts
modulating. They add up to S9+5, and there is more QRM from the SAH than from
Germodulation, but it`s quite annoying if you are trying to listen to KBC, and
still going past 0020 when I QRT. TRT may not quit until German be over circa
0050, but surely will be off for the second hour of KBC with Uncle Eric. KBC
could have avoided this collision by not risking a TRT frequency when it is
supposed to be off. BTW, there is also ACI from Cuban pulse jammer on 5955
against nothing since Radio República disappeared years ago (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6940-USB, Dec 16 at 2240 S9-S5 rock music from pirate; 2241
``thanks to the listeners in C-K`` repeated a few times by that synthyl voice
we have been hearing from Clever Name Radio. These logs agree that`s it, altho
the first one`s times are one hour ahead:

(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 6930-USB, Dec 16 at 2341, algo with hard rock, S8 vs band
noise level of S6. (6940 CNR is off by now.) More unID logs of it:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,39290.0.html
There was also a 6930-LSB a few minutes earlier:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,39289.0.html
6930-USB is off by 0008 Dec 17 check, leaving no pirate activity

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1908 monitoring: Hi Glenn, No luck with HLR
again today on 7265 [WORLD OF RADIO, Sat 1531 UT via Germany]. I suspect it's
just the time of year, and will improve again in a few weeks once the days
start lengthening. Looking at last year's logs, I didn't receive it between the
3rd of December and the 15th of January, so it seems to be following the same
pattern. I'll keep checking for it though if I'm in (Alan Gale, England, Dec
16, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

9330v-CUSB, Sat Dec 16 at 2230, NO signal detectable from WBCQ for WOR (Nor is
it audible after 2300 when Blalock would be blasting nor at 2338.) Confirmed
Sat Dec 16 at 2300 on WRMI 11580, good S9 to S9+20 (but by 2340 has faded down
to S2; also back at 2247, 11580 had World Music fill, Greek, rather than RAE
Italian on weekdays). As usual, by 0200 UT Sunday Dec 17, 11580 is JBA, but it
sounds like me. Now, WA0RCR, 1860-AM, Wentzville MO is already in much better
with ham news, prior to its WOR airing circa 0415. Besides that, further nexts:
Sun 1130 HLR 9485-CUSB to WSW
Mon 0030 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Mon 0400v WBCQ 5130v Area 51 to WSW
Mon 0430 WRMI 9955 to SSE
Tue 0030 WBCQ 9330v-CUSB to WSW
Tue 0030 WRMI 7730 to WNW
Tue 2030 WRMI 11580 to NE, 9455 to WNW, 7780 to NE
Tue 2130 WRMI 9455 to WNW [or #1909?]

** U S A. 9395, Dec 16 at 2118, WRMI `Oldies` service with VOA News relay
ending at 2120 (instead of `The Power Hour` on weekdays) (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. 9955, UT Sunday Dec 17 at 0009, YL in Spanish is talking
about (her?) paintings in the Cuban exile community, vs. jamming of a different
type than usual: machine-gun-like bursts interrupted by quick pauses about 25
times per minute. Is it Mirka? No, WRMI sked shows 0000-0015 Sunday is
`Moderna` which gets one other airing UT Monday at 0115-0130. It`s hardly clear
that she is finished at 0015 when WRMI suddenly switches to gospel huxter in
English, `Words of Life Ministry` from Buford GA, as the jamming continues,
also with some traditional pulsing.

We`ve noted `Moderna` before, with a blurb on the Programming page,
http://wrmi.net/index.php/programming/
identifying her as Yadira Escobar, but totally confused scheduling info. She
promotes reconciliation across the Straits; tough, jam her anyway! (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 12105, Dec 16 at 1905, 2157 chex, no signal on the WTWW-3 frequency,
unlike yesterday afternoon (and nightmiddle) when it was Xmasmx. Nor is 9930
on, no `Theater Organ in the Ozarx`, but 9475 with deviant `QSO` show after
1900.

5085, UT Sun Dec 17 at 0204, Xmasmx, ``First Noel``, not organ now either
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
