** CUBA. 6000, Aug 14 at 0552, this RHC English is dead air, while 6165 and
6100 have some modulation, 6060 with full modulation. Something`s always wrong
at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 5040, Aug 15 at 0618, S9+10 of dead air as RHC has failed to close
this transmitter down at scheduled 0600*. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA [and non]. 11860, further chex of the Radio Mart? vs Radio Habana Cuba
collision, Aug 13: at 1907, RM alone not jammed yet; at 1926 the RHC carrier is
on, making a SAH of about 8 Hz ? wonder which of them is further off-frequency?
They add up to S9+10. At 1929, the RM theme and promo, periodically fading way
down and back up. 1931, RHC French modulation starts late, JIP without IS or
sign-on. 2004, still mixing with SAH; 2128 RM amid newscast from Televisi?n
Mart? minus the video, and RHC seems JBA underneath. 2300 recheck, everything
is off.

Ivo Ivanov says the new RM sked on 11860 is 14-23 & 07-10 UT, latter in the
middle of the night, unconfirmed yet.

11860, next day May 14 at 1417, RM is on and now there is jamming, somewhat
less than on // 11930. 2033, RHC is atop and no jamming; today they are much
closer together than 8 Hz, making only a very slow SAH of less than 1 Hz. 2317
everything off except residual pulse jamming continuing vs nothing, also still
at 0135 August 15.

1196-, May 15 at 2000 check now RM and RHC are equal strength and modulation
making a horrible collision, without jamming, and SAH back to about 8 Hz. (SAHs
in this range I estimate by counting the flutters over and over as each second
tix away; could be plus or minus 1).

It remains to be heard which station will give in first and move, if ever. The
question is whether IBB really knew RHC was already on 11860 and went there as
a deliberate provocation, also forcing RHC to jam itself at the same time, or
quit jamming. Meanwhile, both stations lose their audiences (Glenn Hauser,
WORLD OF RADIO 1943, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CZECHIA [non]. 9955, Aug 15 at 1214, still past 1219, open carrier/dead air
from WRMI when R. Prague in English is supposed to be emanating. Not even
default to some World Music fill (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** INDIA. 9865, Aug 14 at 1333, this is the only AIR frequency JB audible for
the Independence Day specials, vs local thunder forcing use of indoor longwire.

11620, Aug 15 at 0135, of all the possible AIR Independence special frequencies
provided by Jose Jacob, this is the only one somewhat audible, VP with flutter
around S6-S7 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 710, Aug 15 at 1143, full ID for La Ranchera de Cuauht?moc, 1144 TC
as 5:43, in newscast. That`s XEDP in Chihuahua, not using its off-frequency
transmitter today.

I`d rather be asleep but since I`m not, a quick scan of the lower band finds
Spanish presumed usual Mexicans on all these frequencies: 540, 550, 560, 610,
650, 660, 700, 710, 720, 730, 740-, 750, 760, 780, 790-, 800 --? widely varying
strengths and most are about to fade out.

740- is surely XEQH Torre?n, previously IDed as the off-frequency one tearing
up KRMG, R. F?rmula. 790- is surely XENT, La Paz BCS, with LAH vs US stations,
as heard in April, another R. F?rmula --- coincidental lax engineering
standards at this network? Soon losing out to Rogers AR 790.0. I get 780
briefly by tightly nulling nearby KSPI, clues in news that it is XESFT in
Tamaulipas.

870, expect daytimer XETAR in Chihuahua to come on at 1200, but no sign of it
by 1202; just too late for SRS, or has it evacuated for FM only? That would be
quite a shame. Our sunrise today: 1149 UT (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** MEXICO. 6185, August 13 at 2138, JBA carrier already, maybe trace of
modulation, as XEPPM is suspected on air even earlier than skedgrid now
acknowledges, from 2200 instead of 2300 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** NORTH AMERICA. 7470, Aug 15 at 0331, JBA carrier as I have not closed down
all local noise sources but presumed the anti-Christ, pro-Yahweh pirate,
Station YHWH which at least Rick Barton, central Arizona keeps hearing almost
every night around this hour (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** PALAU. 9965, Aug 15 at 1214, T8WH praise music with IADs --- intermittent
audio dropouts; S9 to S9+10 much louder than neighbor 9955 WRMI with dead Czech
air. Aoki shows 12-14 M-F is scheduled by LeSEA only as News/Music. Is it
satellite or internet feed that is defective? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1942 monitoring: confirmed UT Tuesday August
14 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG. Unchecked, presumed inaudible Tue Aug 14 at 2030

WORLD OF RADIO 1943 monitoring: ready for first airing Tuesday August 14 at
2130 on WRMI 5950, but inaudible except for a JBA carrier checked as late as
possible, 2158. ``Probably``, I said for WBCQ 9330v at 2330 Tue Aug 14, but no
show; maybe tomorrow. Confirmed Wednesday August 15 at 1055 check the 1030 WRMI
5950 broadcast, S9+10 but sounds only fair; also with RTTY QRM about 5951 ---
haven`t had that before --- requiring LSB tuning to eliminate it. Next:

** U S A. 15670 DRM, reply to my Aug 13 log of WINB from Richard Langley, NB,
at 1802 UT Aug 13: ``Tweeted by WINB two hours ago: "We are back DRM today, but
will be off tomorrow. We are switching the service with the power company and
putting in a new balun at the same time. We should be on for Wednesday and
remain on"`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1943, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1700, Aug 15 at 1203 UT, hefty promo for ``Banda Trece, m?s m?sica,
m?s deportes`` --- seems to me more of one would logically require less of the
other on one single station, i.e. KKLF Richardson TX (The Metroplex); I see its
unusual X-band power is 5/1 kW --- why not 10 kW day like most of the others?
We still wonder about significance of Banda 13 branding; why not 17? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. Re my wideband noise logs around 6920-6947, Chris Smolinski
replies: ``This is almost certainly one of the high frequency trading sites,
sending real time financial quotes.

See some TDoA location efforts`` It`s a very interesting thread, also its
straying, three pages so far (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1943, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9363-USB, August 15 at 0620, 2-way in unID language sorta Spanish
intonation but words not recognized, which make me suspect Tagalog (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9992-USB, Aug 15 at 1215, another Spanishish 2-way, maybe Tagalog
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Fixing typo in report just sent, under CUBA [and non]. not 1196- but 11860 --
how did I do that??

11860, May 15 at 2000 check now RM and RHC are equal strength and modulation
making a horrible collision, without jamming, and SAH back to about 8 Hz. (SAHs
in this range I estimate by counting the flutters over and over as each second
tix away; could be plus or minus 1).

Well, at least they have an international service unlike Canada... which has
little more than a time signal on SW.

And word has it that there is a proposed budget cut at NIST? so WWV and WWVH
might be on the chopping block...

Imagine 5, 10, and 15 MHz with a religious broadcaster holding court: ?At the
tone, it?ll be time for Jahweh!!!?
