Hi Richard,
Interesting to note the following, from
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Shining_Star (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Shining_Star ) :
"The North Korean people receive more food rations and electricity than
usual on the Day of the Shining Star."

Checked a few VoK frequencies around 18:30 UTC using the U. Twente SDR
receiver and again around 19:20 UTC. Nothing heard or seen on the waterfall.
Is this unprecedented for all SW transmissions to be off on this holiday?
What about domestic SW and AM transmissions? Are all of those off, too? Why
not use radio to proclaim the holiday and the greatness of Kim Jong Il?
Electricity in short supply and need for other celebration activity?

4450 seems to have jamming right now but others are clear

What is happening is that North Korea is celebrating one of the country's
most important national holidays - "*Day of the Shining Star*." Is the
anniversary of the later Kim Jong Il's birthday. Is a *two * *day
holiday*, so how long will the jamming remain on holiday?
