CUBA Seldom happened ? to let RHC Bauta 100 kW tx unit on air,
also on Saturdays ?

Some 72.31 min/sec empty audio overtime signal this morning.

Maybe the technician there used the unit ON TX / ANTENNA MATCHING TEST ?

Noted RHC La Habana English sce this morning Aug 15, noted on both
6100 and 6145 kHz channels via Bauta bcast center in English.

Program heard on excellent audio quality on both channels til
06.59:28 UT.

6145 kHz at S=9+25dB level til TX switch off at 06.59:53 UT.

But \\
6100 kHz at S=9+35dB or -41dBm signal level let 'on air'
til TX switch off at 08.12:31 UT.

6100 kHz in A-20 season is scheduled on RHC's Esperanto service
via Bauta transmitter center at 07.00-07.30 UT
BUT ONLY ON SINGLE SUNDAYS regularly.

unreadable, normally they have at least a fair signal.Lucio

much bad propagation of Brazilian radio stations noted this night,
when used Kiwi Server net units to check at the origin nation,

two hours ago / before in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia,
TWR Bonaire, Miami - locations.

Brazilians received much better on nighttime path
across Atlantic Ocean here
on all-central Europe installations.

** ANTARCTICA. 15475.98-CUSB, Sat Aug 15 at 1640-1730+, no signal from
LRA36 via Brasil SDR --- original plans were to broadcast from 1700,
but missed regular Wednesday 14-16+ airing Aug 12 due to bad weather,
so maybe it`s still bad, or skipped without a new `Coraz?n Ant?rtico`
show to repeat for starters.

[and non]. I had wondered whether the RAE special via LRA36 on July 25
would also show up on WRMI relay, and now Ron Howard confirms:

``Hi Glenn, Happened to tune by 5800, on Aug 14 (Friday), at 0304 and
heard WRMI with the special LRA36 program you reported hearing on July
25. My four minute audio [in English] is at
http://bit.ly/3kQdflI
Ron California`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey August 15 at 1350-1400: none in the 16s;
15165; 14940 JBA carrier, 14920, 14850; 13130, 13020 S7/S9+10, 12880,
12870 S9/+10; 12210 vs CODAR; 25mb inband skipped; 11500, 11460 S9+10,
11440 & 11150 JBA carriers, 11120 S9+; 31m inband skipped; 9300 S9
unusual, the only in lower 9s but confirmed // (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 13632 & 13564 approx., Aug 15 at 1351, my CNR1 jammer survey
is interrupted by reactivation of broad RHC spurblobs out of 13700
transmitter, missing for quite a while, but never permanently fixed.
No programming audible in SSB mode, but in FM and AM. These at approx.
68-69 kHz intervals; after 1400 China finished, back to look for more
as RHC runs multi-lingual ID (including abolished Guarani, Quechua??):
also on plus side around 13769, 13838; and trace of the F# tone circa
13908 and 13427, the lower vs CODAR. Something`s always wrong at RHC
(Glenn Hauer, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 515-MCW kHz, Aug 15 at 0626, NDB PN in Ponca
City is still off; 341-MCW EI in Enid is still on.

Too much storm noise from KS to detect much else, but two signals seem
mixing on 420, probably PK in KS and FQ in MN, from previous
experience, both 25 watts (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** THAILAND. 9390, August 15 at 1359, lovely deep chimes of HSK9 on
good signal vs 9395 WRMI, just in time for 1400 English --- but cuts
off briefly and comes back with much weaker signal before 1400, still
chiming. Shux, at 1330-1400 it`s in Thai on 54 degree beam for CIRAF
45 & 50 --- but 50 is Philippines eastward, while 45 is Japan NE.
After 1400 in English has switched to 132 degrees for CIRAF 49 thru
60, i.e. all of SE Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand, but
skipping 52, 53 and 57 which are central and southern Africa, the
strange way CIRAF zones are numbered. If only they could stay on 54
degrees or even less for English so we could hear them, much better in
our mornings than the supposedly intentional NAm broadcasts in our
evenings after 0000 on JBA at best 15590 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2047 monitoring: slept thru the

please check Sat 1130 on 9955 which persists on their skedgrid but

CHINA. 4900 // 4940, Voice of Strait, 1242, Aug 13. So the anomaly
continues throughout August? Normally 1200-1255 should not be //.

CNR17 (9630 // 11630), heard on a weekday (Aug 13 - Thurs.), from 1518 to
1529, with a Russian language lesson.

TIBET. 6130, Xizang PBS via Lhasa, 1419, Aug 14. This was the clearest
reception I have had here in a long time; positive
// 6200, which was mixing with Voice of Jinling (China). Was of course
looking for Laos (LNR), which is scheduled for Chinese at this time, but not
any trace of them. Are they still on the air?
Has anyone had a recent positive reception?

On and off this last week, I've had what sounds like some kind of data
broadcast on 1410...... it sounds somewhat similar to a WeFax broadcast in
the HF bands, but not quite.

I havent noticed it on other frequencies. whats going on?

John Johnson near Phoenix says hes hearing it too, but its closer to 1406.
im not hearing it that low

Tuned by 930 and heard what sounded like Christian music instead of the
usual country music from KOGA or news talk from KROE.

My audio seemed to match the stream but wasnt for sure because the signal
was kinda iffy... got a somewhat clear "CJCA Edmonton" legal id straight up
11pm mountain and the signal held together long enough to hear references
to a program CJCA was carrying at that time, "Keep The Faith".

It's back! Tonight, I'm hearing a very very strong sounding off
frequency het/whine on 710. Last time this happened it was proven to be
Cuban based upon hearing it on a Key West SDR during the day.
