Subject: [HCDX] Glenn Hauser logs November 13-14, 2020
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
** AUSTRIA [and non]. 11955, Nov 13 at 1506, talk at S7-S9 with LAH =
low audible het from another station on slightly different frequency.
Only scheduled is AWR Turkish via Moosbrunn. Possibly KSDA Guam had
not turned off promptly by 1500? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CHINA. 7665, Nov 13 at 1556, S8-S9 of Chinese, 5+1 timesignal at
1600 and continues, i.e. CNR1 jammer. Altho not thoroly searched, I
had not noticed any on higher bands. Aoki shows 7665 victim is Sound
of Hope relaying Radio Free Asia, 0300-1700 via Pingtung site, Taiwan
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CANADA. 395-MCW kHz, Nov 13 at 0712 UT, dash and YL, 1600-watt ND
beacon from Lynn Lake, Manitoba. Last logged Sept 16 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 13740, Nov 13 at 1457, RHC is S9 but undermodulated, 1500
dead air and off; meanwhile, 13700 is VG S9+10 but no spurs.
Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** CUBA. 15700, Nov 13 at 1553, CRI English relay is S9+10 but just
barely modulated including some hum. Something`s always wrong at
RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** JAPAN. 11630, Nov 13 at 2227, interview in Japanese, at S9+20, so
strong an NHK relay? No, it`s direct from Yamata at 2100-2300 but 235
degrees oppositeward. Another curiosity, plenty big 300 kW signal off
the back at 55 degrees thisaway, or really misaligned reverse off the
front? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** NORTH AMERICA. 6957-USB, Nov 13 at 2219, UNIDENTIFIED S9 wild
tones, no carrier but seems centered here, followed by normal-sounding
SSTV and off 2220.6*. One other unID report of this:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,74231.0.html
who calls the sounds ``Electro dubstep music``, and also earlier:
https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,74228.0.html
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** SAUDI ARABIA [and non]. 13710, Nov 13 at 1458, Riyadh has heavy CCI
from something at tune-in, then clear S9/+10 beginning Qur`an. Nothing
currently scheduled up to 1500 on 13710 in Aoki or EiBi, but in HFCC
something in Kurdish via Moldova from BRB, which might well be wooden.
In A-season however, CRI English via Kashgar, East Turkistan, land of
cultural genocide, was heard on 13710 until 1457 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** SPAIN. 12030, Fri Nov 13 at 1505, and still 1546, open carrier dead
air at S6-S9, likely REE, while 9690 has a JBA carrier, nothing on
11940 or 11685. 12030 for ME is supposed to start at 1500 weekdays,
1400 weekends. Something`s not right at Noblejas (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** U S A. NEW WORLD OF RADIO times I have just found on the System B
skedgrid of WRMI: Friday 0130 and Tuesday 0200 both on 9955. Fri 0130
would be in addition to 5850 & 5010 on System F.
WORLD OF RADIO 2060 monitoring: confirmed UT Saturday November 14 at

** U S A. 5950, Nov 13 at 0706, and at 2223 chex, NO signal from
WRMI-5; it`s never very strong or loud here, but now must be off the
air. Ivo Ivanov and Wolfgang Bueschel first noted its absence on Nov
11. NO mention of its absence or what is being done about it as of
2320 UT Nov 13 by WRMI on disgraced FB; unlike about the going and
coming of 9395 WRMI-6. It seems 5950 disappeared about the same time
9395 resumed, coincidence? 5950 had been 24 hours, even in the daytime
for short-range coverage on a 285 degree WNW azimuth, same as 7730
which is always much stronger here; was mostly TOMBS System C, or SMTV
System J, but also a variety of breakouts for Systems D, F and G
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. 9955, Fri Nov 13 at 1511, this WRMI-3 is off, just
some residual pulse jamming. For a while it was extended past 1500.
Now skedgrid shows only on Sat & Sun until 1530 with `Full Gospel
Hour`, i.e. Blalock the Blaster, but is he still on WRMI? WBCQ said
that ``sweetheart`` quit over there, out of money (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** U S A. (7490), UT Sat Nov 14 at 0103, WBCQ webcast of `AAAWWW`,
declared to be ``live`` but never heard a YOOL date mentioned during
following hour; he never does so at the outset. First recommends a
27-minute B&W film produced in 1947y by NBC with a tour of Rockefeller
Center, ``Behind Your Radio Dial`` --- search that title on YouTube.
The lo-fidelity of telco transmitter feed lines back then. Early TV;
reminiscences of AHW`s father, who was brilliant --- too smart to be a
politician. Again they are trying to avoid politix, ``keeping the
powder dry``. Angela should have her own show to let loose on
political rants, AHW is seriously considering if she can be persuaded.
She erupts yelling a few times now, not good for the mikes nor for
listenears. ``This just can`t happen!!!``, i.e. Biden instead of
Trump. 0141 says on 7490 and 6160 now; neither checked here direct or
on remotes. Explaining clear-channel distant MW propagation. 0153
reads a few emails, one about the ``sham-demic``, that all
Democrat[ic] governors should be removed, to which AHW agrees. ``Still
waiting to acquire WHRI; it is going to happen``. 0158 prayer and over
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. Nov 13 at 1549, several phone hams on USB in the 18 MHz
band, so I check 21 MHz whether it could be open? 21022 has a strong
CW calling CQ way too fast, and some other digital sounds below 21100,
but not a trace of any USB hams up to 21450 --- yet the band is open
from somewhere; not paying attention? Are there any constant beacons
on 14m like 10m? On 13m, 21525 WRMI is as usual a JBA carrier at best
