** COLOMBIA? 4940, Nov 14 at 0415, anonymous mystery missionary
station is audible via SDR Bonaire but only VP S4-S6, much worse than
usual. It`s still JBA direct around 0645 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 5025, Nov 14 at 0650, Radio Rebelde is OFF instead of 24h. So
is 5040 RHC. Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA [and non]. 6000, Nov 14 at 0653, RHC English still on here,
and on 6100 with hum, but 6145 is off. Something else is weakly on
9700; HFCC B20 shows Turkey at 04-07 and Japan at 05-09 [and BTW RNZI
current sked shows 9700 never]. RHC`s new sked shows 9700 replacing
6145 by Nov 17 at 01-07 toward Chicago --- so there could be a 3-way
collision between 05 and 07 --- way to go, frequency manager Arnie,
refusing to co?rdinate in HFCC. Axually a 9 MHz frequency would be a
good idea instead of everything to USA on 6/5 MHz, but more so in the
summer, vs plummeting winter night MUFs. Might try 7 MHz for
diversity. Something`s always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 13770 & 13630 approx., Nov 14 at 1433, RHC spurblobs are
back, extremely distorted with F# tone especially when tuned in FM
mode, out of 13700 transmitter which is clear itself, and while //
13740 is also still on but uninvolved. Weaker second-order spurs about
13839 and 13561, so displacement is approx. plus/minus 69.5 kHz and
multiples. The lower one clashes with ISM pulsing noises always around
13560, i.e. RF ID scanners at stores or medical machines, or ?? Also a
third-order trace about 13491 but not 13909. Something`s always wrong
at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GERMANY [non]. 15195, Sat Nov 14 at 1429, Deutsche Welle is seeking
Brothers --- never mind Sistern? playing its nostalgic clanging IS
which I haven`t heard on SW for ages, so what is about to sign-on? One
thing for sure, if it`s DW it can`t be direct from Germany. Of course,
it`s Hausa per HFCC, Saturdays only at 1425-1630, i.e. coverage of
stupid ball games in a strange bilateral link between Germany and
Nigeria important enough for SW broadcasts while most other languages
have been abandoned! In fact the only other one left is Amharic. See
http://www.hfcc.org/data/b20/B20DWLbyDWLver01-13oct2020.pdf

But wait, the IS keeps on playing with no programming past 1430, 1437,
1457, 1502, 1542+ as the signal progressively weakens. Well, that sort
of makes up for all the times I have not heard it for years! But seems
not a cost-effective use of resources. That schedule shows the Hausa
football service only applies to certain Saturdays, such as 31.10,
7.11 and 21.11, NOT today 14.11! But at least they hold the frequency
from any intruders! Further dates it is supposed to air SBGs are:
every week thru 20.03.21, except 26.12.20. And there is one //, 15350
not checked or noticed today, both Issoudun, FRANCE.

DW TV, OTOH, does a credible job of world news coverage on a par with
BBC World News America, via PBS, audiovisible here weekdays at
2200-2230 UT on OETA World channel 13.2, initiating a 2-hour strip
followed by BBC, France 24 and NHK until 2400. But the DW IS is not to
be heard there (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SPAIN. 12030, Sat Nov 14 at 1503, RNE manages to modulate unlike 24
hours ago, S9/+10 here to ME, while 9690 to NAm is only S3-S8! We get
a much better signal off the back of the ME antenna, than off the
front of the NAm one. It is always thus at the beginning of weekend
transmissions across a fully-insolated path, when a higher OWF ---
optimum working frequency --- trumps the lower frequency`s angle,
something REE has never figured out. // 11940 to SAm is much weaker vs
a local? blob, and no point in even checking 11685 to Af. Something`s
always not right at Noblejas. O, the programming? After RNE IDs in
passing, starts `Poes?a Exterior` from REE. I wonder what became of
the DX? program `Amigos de la Onda Corta` which is rarely about Short
Wave, but any other media (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11815, Nov 14 at 1507, ME music at S7-S9, certainly not NHK
which is scheduled here but thataway from 10 to 17 UT; rather VOT
Turkish at 14-17 thisaway (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2060 monitoring: again a zzz thru

Thanks this week for financial support from Andy Robins, Kalamazoo
MI who with a US$ check to Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702
says, ``You provide an invaluable service that deserves support!``

One may also contribute via PayPal, not necessarily in US funds, to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5800, UT Sat Nov 14 at 0300, WRMI plays ``Yellow Rose of
Texas`` alla marcia, i.e. the opening theme of Texas Radio SW program
`Treasure Chest of TX mx` as soon introduced by Third Matey Susan
robovoice, then Robert Kipp, Germany with upcoming playlist. This was
supposed to be a one-time special originally aired exactly one week
ago. But as often happens, suchthings stay programmed on the weekly
automation schedule long afterwards if not deliberately removed.

Kenneth Vito Zichi, MI, in the MARE Tipsheet logged it completely:
:04 Willie Nelson ?Remember the Alamo?
:06 ?Third Mate? ID + email address
:07 Waylon Jennings ?Ramblin? Man?
:09 George Strait ?All My Ex?s are in Texas?
:13 Bob Wills ?New San Antonio Rose?
:15 Gene Autry ?Back in the Saddle Again?
:18 Ernest Tubb ?Walking the Floor Over You?
:20 Jim Reeves ?He?ll Have To Go?
:23 Mac Davis ?Baby Don?t Get Hooked On Me?
:26 Buck Owens ?Act Naturally?
:28 Tex Ritter ?You Two Timed Me One Time Too Often?
:31 ?Capn? Rick? OM computer voiced ID and email
and into Buddy Holly ?That?ll Be The Day?
:33 Bob Luman ?Lonely Women Make Good Lovers?
:36 Kenny Rogers ?The Gambler?
:40 Kris Kristofferson ?Me and Bobby McGee?
:44 ?Capn? Rick? again w/WRMI specific ID and
email, and into The Highwaymen ?Big River?
:46 Traveling Wilburys ?End of the Line?
:51 Roy Orbison ?Oh, Pretty Woman?
:54 Ernest Tubb ?The Yellow Rose of Texas?
:56 Third Mate windup of the ?Treasure Chest of
Texas Music? show w/ID and email etc.
:57 Mitch Miller ?The Yellow Rose of Texas?

I was checking whether the Radio Rep?blica relay via Okeechobee was
still there as started a few weeks ago in addition to the France site
until 0300 on 9490. It never appeared on the WRMI skedgrid as if to
keep it hush-hush from the Cuban jammers. Anyhow it`s gone again, and
in fact R.R. is now running until 0400 on 9490 with `Noticias al
Cierre` at 0358, good over lite pulse jamming as heard via TWR Bonaire
SDR, which in SAM mode also shows the Issoudun carrier is varying
22-39 Hz plus! Maybe the WRMI hour has shifted 60 minutes later? No,
5800 carrier stays on only until 0402*. I think I have figured it out
now: as Europe went off DST, R.R. wanted to run until 0400 but 9490
was not available, so WRMI took it up temporarily. Now 9490 is
available and used until 0400* so 5800 is not needed.

Getting back to TRSW, Cap`n Ric replies: ``Ahoy Glenn, Jeff may leave
this program in the lineup until month's end. 73 and Arrgghh.`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

Since it's a weekend of international matches, there's no Bundesliga or
any of the European legues this weekend. Back to normal next week.

Your CPC Chairman was working all day and well into the night?didn?t get this
word out in time. Apologies. Hope everyone has a chance to tune in. Conditions
on the car radio were great tonight.

1360 kHz WNJC Washington Township, NJ

Once again, sorry for the late notice, but I am running an audio DX test on
WNJC 1360AM till 6am EST (11:00 UTC). At Midnight EST (05:00 UTC) we will go to
daytime power (5kw directional to the SSE). Next week I will try to get the FT8
test up and running again. Maybe try to do some omnidirectional testing as well!

If anyone happens to run across an odd 900 signal.. theyre running music
from past Athabascan fiddle festivals.. its being produced at KRFF 89.1
Fairbanks and KSKO 89.5 McGrath, AK is carrying it and thats who KZPA is
getting programming from. All you'll hear is a once an hour ID for KSKO and
somewhere in there I'll squeeze in a KZPA ID as wel

Paul
