Maybe you also heard of the "German Radio War"
about the jamming of various short-wave stations:
https://members7.boardhost.com/PirateRadio/msg/1636063068.html
In this case we are again from the Sendezentrum in Kall
blamed without any basis for these jammings
to be (jointly) responsible.
It is true that we have to defend ourselves against attacks from Kall
for many years, among other things, the station was twice located by
the Federal Network Agency as jammer of our programs;
however, we use only
legal means, otherwise we would be just such morons as
certain other people in the Eifel.

``That is or was the home of these iHeart stations absenteely owned
and licensed to OKC: KTOK 1000, KREF 94.7, KXXY 96.1, 98.5 xltr, KTST
101.9, KJYO 102.7. Per FCC Queries. IHM also has a Tulsa cluster and a
few other OK stations outside the OKC market. So what is going on
here. iHeart pulling out of OKC or just moving to another
building?Glenn Hauser, Enid``
Adam Rivers replied: ``Many iHeart facilities have downsized over the
last year or so. Mine has not, but buildings have merged, etc. like
Lancaster into Harrisburg, PA, etc.``
On Feb 18, John Zondlo replied: ``The auction conducted Thursday {sic}
was of property at our old 50 Penn Place offices. We have only brought
over to our new location a handful of items. Honestly, much of that
stuff has seen its better days, and I'm not sure why some folks even
bothered to bid on it.
At 50 Penn, our home for 44 years, we occupied about half of the 10th
floor of this office building. The 10th floor was occupied by sales
and management. We also had the entire 11th floor, occupied by
programming, for our 7 stations here. We also occupied a portion of
the 12th floor for the Oklahoma News Network, 4 farm networks, and the
Oklahoma Baptist University sports network (which I produce). With all
of the cuts made by iHeart/Clear Channel in recent years, we had way
too much space for too few people.
Our new digs are at 6525 N. Meridian in OKC in a 6 story office tower
(recently renovated, barely occupied). We have 4,000 square feet now,
a fraction of what we had at 50 Penn. The broadcast and office
equipment is, for the most part, brand spanking new.
There is still quite a bit of broadcast equipment left at 50 Penn that
is being inventoried and will be disposed of in various ways.
So, to sum it up, we are still alive and well in OKC and serving our
area to the best of ability with a skeleton crew. And I say that as
I'm here at KGHM 1340 producing a LOCAL high school basketball game.
John Zondlo - Yukon, OK``
Thanks, John. He is/was better(?) known as an FM DX editor for VHF-UHF
Digest of the Worldwide TV-FM DX Association; who refuses to publish
my few but detailed FM DX logs since they would occupy more than one
line each. Yes, KGHM 1340 is another IHM station I overlooked, since
it is licensed to suburb Midwest City for no particular reason. Did I
miss another? To total magic 7 would have to include that one
translator (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA. 91.7, KOSU, Sat Feb 19 at 1830 UT, I am listening on
caradio on way to and from Box 1684, with a very interesting show
about the origins of tape recording in Nazi Germany, and later into
Vietnam war archive interviews; next week to be about how ``cassette
tapes created the Internet``. Closed at 1859 UT without any program
ID. Must have been `Radiolab` as per KOSU sked. All I want to do is
find a recording/podcast of this week`s complete show since I heard
only some fragments. But program website
https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/radiolab
is completely unhelpful, not even a search funxion: all kinds of stuff
in segments for years, and some seem on related topix, but I give up!
One thing I noticed that in SFX of tuning an AM radio in Britain
overnight after BBC signed off, hearing classical music on strong
German stations: did Hitler make the musicians play all night? we hear
squishy noises and RTTY! Better not be on AM!! Or a horrible radio
picking up SW images. How could Radio people be so ignorant about the
basix? But such nonsense is standard for tuning-around SFX (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
