keyboard-letter-sequence beacon. Could not copy X instead of P after
O, so maybe deleted if not corrected (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** FRANCE [and non]. 6100, Sept 26 at 1542, S9 of rock music, no
announcements until 1558*, heard via UTwente, one of the frequencies
publicized for La Boulang?re, Mini-Transat yacht race, weather info on
its first day with delayed departures. Something JBA during dead-air
pauses, 1549 and 1555, must have been as scheduled CRI in Russian via
Kashgar, and unimpeded at 1600, CRI theme music starting weak Hindi.
Also possible at 1500 are 5975, 13735 and 15300; first check direct at
1512, nothing on the top two. The race is in two legs, France to
Canaries, then Canaries to Guadeloupe. Probably using higher bands
later in the further race (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** KURDISTAN [non]. 11545, Sept 26 at 1515, only signal below 11575
JBA carrier is VP music, Turkish? Presumed current jumparound
frequency for Deng? Gel and/or Recep jammer. 11575 would be VOA Radio

** TURKEY. 11785, Sept 26 at 2158, VOT not off the air today, IS with
English IDs, only S6/S8 with heavy flutter direct (Glenn Hauser, OK,

Tuesday September 26 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9/+20 into Maryland SDR.
Not confirmed Tuesday Sept 26 at 1308 the expected 1300 on WRMI 9955;
rather again fill music and promo ``did you know your program could be
on worldwide shortwave?`` Maybe next week with new computer system.
