** CANADA [and non]. 351 MCW kHz, Jan 23 at 0747 UT, dash and YKQ,
500-watt ND beacon at Fort Rupert/Waskaganish, QC, at 51+/78- degrees
N/W. Long time since last logged, March 19, 2023. RG on 350 at WRWA
OKC remains gone so no problem there; but a little bit of LIttle Rock
from 353 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 15760.00, Jan 23 at 1614, distorted Chinese at S8/9+5. Also
// 13590 very distorted! S7/S9 with no stable carrier to detect; and
// 13630 with OK modulation. At 1621, 11565 & 11670 non-distorted CNR1
jammers. 11775 at 1622, extremely distorted Chinese worst of all and
splattering +/- 15. Aoki shows CNR1 jammer against SOH on 15760 but
only until 1500; 13590 same until 1700; 11775 until 1730; 11670
against VOA, 11565 vs RFA. Jammer sites not known or guessed, but the
extremely distorted ones likely from one site different from others.
Deliberate? Makes jamming more ``effective``, but a stain upon ChiCom
engineering quality for those not knowing such frequencies are really
only to jam SOH (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** EGYPT. 9439.995, Jan 23 at 2115-2120, NO signal from R. Cairo in
English sesquihour unto UTwente. Something`s egregious in Egypt (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** FRANCE. 9490+, Jan 23 at 0346, S9/+10 of dead air with hum from
TDF, again failing to turn it off at 0300 when RMI República finish.
Something`s incompetent at ISSoudun (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 11514.9, Jan 23 at 1621, S3/S4 JBA maybe music from
pirate Hikari FM. I wonder if he has any listeners or reports from
Japan (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY [non]. 5960, from the land of Armenian genocide denial, Jan
23 at 2300, no signal direct from VOT English to US, except some
random noise; JBA carrier on possible overrun 9610. Checking UTwente
at 2333, 5960 is nothing but Chinese from East Turkistan, std
denunciation; while 9610.002 S6-S7 JBA in language not English. TWR
New Delhi gets 9610 much better: must be the only thing listed now,
CNR8 in Mongolian from Beijing site. Something`s always erroneous at
Emirler (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2226 monitoring: confirmed UT
Tuesday January 23 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S7/S9 into Georgia SDR.

Also confirmed Tuesday January 23 at 1426 the 1400 on WRMI 9955, S8/S9
direct. Next:

0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1200 UT Wednesday Unique R, NSW 5035-USB or 3210-USB
1230 UT Wednesday Unique R, NSW 5035-USB or 3210-USB
[previous #2225][SW suspended but still streamed?]
1500 UT Wednesday WRMI 9955 [unsked but reconfirmed Jan 3, 10, 17]
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW,
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S
0230 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW

Glenn Hauser, PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5800, Jan 23 at 0348, WRMI in English discussion of US
involvement in Latin America, `Freedom Synergy Radio`, pro-Taiwan,
which is enough for Cuba to jam it, even tho not in Spanish, but WRMI
is S9+10/20 atop the noise.

5800, Jan 23 at 0435, ham radio discussion vs jamming, must be the
expelled from WTWW, and renamed `Legends`. Bits of that scattered
evenings around the WRMI skedgrid, but supposedly not this hour on
5800, rather 5050 & 9455 only. In fact, 5800 not shown on any System
after 0400! Something`s odd at Okeechobee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 12105, Jan 23 at 1624, S5/S8 open carrier: something
about to sign on? No, still DA at 1631. Nothing in EiBi, but Aoki
shows at 14-17 RFE/RL in Taj via Lampertheim, Germany. Tajik?? WRTH
2024 does not show that language anywhen from RFE/RL which is almost
gone from SW; nor RFA nor various other USAGM substations. Aoki info
may be outdated, like many more obvious entries. RFE/RL did emit Tajik
in WRTH 2005 handily consulted. So what is this? (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
