** CUBA. 6000, Sun Feb 11 at 0757, this RHC is unusually still on; S9/+20 vs line noise level of S9+30 but undermodulated and have trouble recognizing language but probably English. 0800 into weekly Esperanto as I do recognize theme and a few words. Uncopied this time, but they always announce 6100 as the 08 hours frequency, where it was for longtime but 6100 totally off the air for months now. Something`s always wrong at RHC. And now there is also QRDRM! noise from 6000-6005-6010, requiring LSB tuning of 6000 to hear anything at all. RHC should really be on 6100 for this, even for half an hour per week, but that would make too much sense and be too much trouble. Esperanto is lucky to be on *any* RHC at this hour. Feb 11 at 0405 UT in a DTV bandscan on the STB I encounter a `new` one labeled 30-9, Radio 74 `Audio only` but really leading to RF-17, while the other virtual 17s no longer include Radio 74 audio - why in the world change it to ``30-9``? All the lower virtual 30s trace to RF 29 KTUZ Shawnee/OKC. So it`s time for another survey of what`s really on K17JN-D, circa 0430 UT Feb 11. I suppose some of these might differ depending on time of day?? Trans-Atlantic JBA MW carrier search, Feb 11 at 0252 UT: 801, 855-2, 1044. The beat on 855 is 2.4 Hz, likely two from Spain; mwoffsets shows 7 RNE outlets each on a slightly different frequency. I see a couple 2.2 Hz apart. Plus two more in the master list. 801 is unusual, but a het on 800 KQCV OK. There are a bunch of medium-powers in Spain, 10/25 kW. For 100+ kW, only Iran and Ethiopia, unlikely. 1044 also likely Spain.
