** CANADA. 300 MCW kHz, Apr 23 at 0646 UT, JBA dash but too weak to
copy ID vs my still severe line noise level on LW. Presumably the only
Canadian, YIV, 500 watts from Island Lake, MB. Ditto on 328, YTL, 1000
watts from Big Trout Lake, ON, both heard before (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CHINA. 15610, Apr 23 at 2208, JBA S5/S7 Chinese here, not WEWN: use
it or lose it. EiBi shows ChiCom jamming and Sound of Hope 22-16
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** GUAM. 15625, Apr 23 at 2210, song with heavy flutter and Doppler
flutter, S4/S7 direct. AWR Chinese via KSDA scheduled; at 2300,
another hour via Sri Lanka (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** PHILIPPINES. 9875, Apr 23 at 2254 I belatedly check here via
UTwente in case Turkey have overrun to explain absence of 11785. But
instead I hear music box IS alleging that Jesus Saves. VP S7 with
splash de 9880. 9875 is FEBC Bocaue about to start Iu language, per
Aoki; MIE per EiBi: the same? EiBi`s readme: ``MIE Mien / Iu Mien: S
China (0.4m), Vietnam (0.4m) [ium]``. N Korea is also listed, not
confusable nor audible (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** SAUDI ARABIA. 11935, Apr 23 at 1430, loud roar continues, despite
reading of only S2/S3 direct. Still at 2203, S3/S5 on different
receiver (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785v, Apr 23 at 2200, JBA S3/S5 carrier direct, air dead?
OFF at 2204 recheck. At 2231 check via UTwente, still NO signal from
VOT in English to us. Something`s always erroneous at Emirler (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR) See also PHILIPPINES

** U S A. 245 MCW kHz, Apr 23 at 0645 UT, FS, 400-watt ND beacon at
Sioux FallS, SD, is JBA vs S6.5 line noise level and S9 storm noise
level peaks. See also CANADA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 13605, Apr 23 at 1421, report from Brasil in Spanish but VOA
correspondent imposes heavy Brazilian accent, on R. Mart? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2239 monitoring: NOT confirmed UT
Tuesday April 23 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, as monitored direct and much
better via Qro. SDR. Our biweek of limbo is over. WOR was removed from
this timeslot on the skedgrid but continued to air on April 9 & 16,
instead of another of the ~three dozen weekly repeats of Wavescan ---
but this is not Wavescan, either! All music, from a live concert with
an applause break? No announcements unless something missed at the
very beginning. Sounds sorta Israeli, maybe Passover special? No outro
either, 0359 canned ID and 0400 over to TOMBS.

Confirmed Tuesday April 23 at 1300 on WRMI 9955, S7/S8 direct atop
audible jamming. Seems like CCI from another? Per EiBi and Aoki,
nothing else ever on 9955; BTW, Aoki attempts to show all? WRMI
programming in time order. This time I make sure it plays past 1323
unlike earlier on 7780; yes, past the Vanuatu anthem. There are also
noise bursts exactly every bisecond, must be some new nearby device as
also detectable on other frequencies. Next:

2330 UT Tuesday WRMI 9395 to NNW
2330 UT Tuesday SW Radio, Germany 3975
1200 UT Wednesday Unique R, NSW 5035-USB or 3210-USB
1230 UT Wednesday Unique R, NSW 5035-USB or 3210-USB
[previous #2238][SW suspended but still streamed?]
1930 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160
2100 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW
1630 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 6160

As noncommercial services, financial support appreciated. Thanks this
week to John N9JL Lutz, Shorewood IL, who sent a check in US funds to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702.

One may also contribute, not necessarily in US funds, via PayPal to:
woradio at yahoo.com (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 12050, April 23 at 0419, Spanish hymn, S9+5/10 into
Quer?taro SDR, so WEWN is on after missing earlier on Apr 22. Also on
at 1429 check April 23, RCC stuff in Spanish, S7/S9 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR) See also CHINA 15610

This report dispatched at 2324 UT April 23
