** ALGERIA. 17600 within 2 Hz, May 3 at 1800, Ifrikya FM, true to
form, NO English which SHN had twice a few days ago. Instead drumming
and 3-minute m?lange of languages, French, Arabic, and something? 1803
music, 1804 French, 1808 music, 1813 French as I break for lunch. But
next check 1846, S9+10/20 of faux timesignal via UTwente and into
English! Today is first anniversary of station which began on May 3,
2023. YL then interviews 3? guys in studio, apparently team members
from different countries including Cameroon. English ends at 1858, but
I bet not at same time tomorrow, if any (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 27184.94, May 3 at 1509, S7/S9 open carrier; surely the
Enid CBer who otherwise relays FM stations such as K288FX from 105.5.
Fading due to mobility? Absolutely no skip, CB otherwise dead except
for one other local on 26975. 1523 recheck OC now up to S9+10/20
morelike 27184.95. 1614 still but steady S7. Again at 2006 check now
27184.93, S9+22 steady dead air (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** PUERTO RICO. UNIDENTIFIED. 11981 approx., May 3 at 2017, INTRUDER
RTTY again, S7/S8. Can anyone ID it? I also ask the UDXF iog. Quick
replies:

``US Navy, 850 Hz shift 75 bd KW-46 Encrypted, Isabela, Porto Rico --
Martin - South West UK``

``hf_linkz 9:03pm #114757 It's right, that's NAU Isabela. I've TDoA'd
it on yesterday because it was 1.4 kHz upper (11980u > RATT 11982
cf)``

``I have a question I hope someone can answer. In Martin?s post he
positively identified this RTTY signal is coming from Puerto Rico. He
even knew what type of crypto was used.

My question is how do you know this? I mean is there some artifact
that says that it?s this a certain type of crypto and that it?s coming
from this exact location?

Not doubting anybody, I?m just curious to how you can positively
identify something that?s encrypted and pinpoint the exact location..
It would seem to me that these things would be closely guarded a more
then likely even classified? Thank much. Tom Anderson SDR_Radio@...``

``My guess is US Navy from Puerto Rico.
<Jon-FL> 11980.6 NAU: US NAVY ISABELA, PR FSK 50/850 STANAG-4481
(ENC) (19MAY20 2155) (JL)
<Jon-FL> 11980.6 NAU: US NAVY ISABELA, P.R. CF FSK 50/850 STANAG-4481
(ENC) (NO SPUR) (09MAY22 2140) (JL)
Encrypted. JL === Jack L Metcalfe was reporter in 2020 and 2022.
---------------
Jon-FL, Florida, @ #WUNclub IRC``

NAU is also the RTTY on 11688 long listed in EiBi, making 11685 &
11690 unusable for broadcasting much of the time. Someone ought to get
on the USN about these INTRUDERS! Also NSS on 9830 (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** SPAIN. 17855, Friday May 3 at 2200, token English from SNR, VG into
DX-390 portable with clipon. After news, first feature is for World
Portuguese Language Day, which is really May 5: interview colleague
from SNR PP department. 2214 switch to another interview about a group
of women artists known as the ``27``, who did not get the recognition
they deserved and still do not, because they were not male. A.k.a.,
``without hats``, seemingly alluding to not hiding their talents,
brainpower. They were born in the late 1800s to WWI, so maybe 1927 was
in their prime? Or were there just 27 of them? never clear (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 11785.009, May 3 at 2200 VOT English not off the air, but
insufficient into DX-390 portable; anyhow I`m more interested in
simulSPAIN which is sufficient on 17855. Into UTwente at 2251 when
measured it`s S9+35/45 with song; 2253 s/off, for once mentions no SW,
just satellite and internet; 2254 IS, 2256 pause and restart IS with
German IDs, chopoff at 2258* (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2241 monitoring: confirmed Friday
May 3 at 2038 the 2030 on IRRS via AM Italia, 1322.995 kHz, S9 but
noisy into UTwente. And almost synchronized on WRMI webcast only.

Also confirmed Friday May 3 at 2207, the 2200 first SWBC on WRMI 9955,
but JBA direct into R75 vs band noise.

Also confirmed Friday May 3 at 2250 the 2230 on SW Radio, Germany,

** U S A. Pre-AAAWWW chex of WBCQs, May 3 at 2332 into NH SDR: 3265
off. 5130.206 NOT ATATT but mistake? an AAAWWW repeat of last week or
two, S9/+10. 6159.930 g.h. presumably TOMBS, S9/+12. 7489.932 FKB
S9+10/20. 9330.000 WLCR Portuguese S9+20/30. At 2355, *rump back and
slid down to 5130.182. May 4 at 0000 on 7490v at least, AAAWWW sounds
familiar, knox all Members of Congress as ``535 white trash
assholes,`` so another repeat, never mind. At 0012, 5130v still ATATT
so AAAWWW on 7490v only. I suppose he might impose // on 5130 and 3265
if he had a new one (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

Turkey. 9880 VOT April 3 on this possible new frequency maybe ex 9875 to avoid
Pyongyang co channel. Observed at 2030 s/on in English until s/off 2130.
Noted its absence on 9875 April 2 so it may have moved to 9880 then. Not sure
if a permanent frequency change or another switching error at Emirler? (

Turkey. Correction to my earlier report. The dates should read May 2 & 3 and
not April 2 & 3. 9880 VOT May 3 on this possible new frequency maybe ex 9875
