** CUBA [and non]. 6000, UT Thu Feb 13, checking RHC for mailbag show
in English which used to be approx. 0030, 0230, 0430, 0630 UT
Thursdays. 6000 had been running in English again lately, but not
tonight: into Maryland SDR: at 0026 dead air at S8/9, still 0046. By
0053 there is some low modulation. At 0054 this turns out to be TRT,
including VOT IS, runup to their 0100 Turkish broadcast. Same
situation past 0130. At 0300 direct, still S9+40/50 of dead air. By
0430, RHC carrier is off (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2282)
** OKLAHOMA. 95.1, Feb 13 circa 2230 UT, the dead air in stereo on
this frequency, has come alive again, with rock music sounding mono,
no announcements heard. Reception as before, peaking in downtown Enid,
but no OG&E `Tree of Lights` to go with it. An LPFM on same frequency
still pending with a CP, but I don`t think this is it (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)
** SPAIN. (9690), UT Thu Feb 13, SNR livestream for English repeat at
0300, after SW closing: again at 0320, double-audio as heard 4 hours
earlier. Is no one paying attention at REE? The podcast, however,
about World Radio Day, is OK:
https://www.rtve.es/play/audios/english-language-broadcast/
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2282)
** SWEDEN [non]. 9670, Feb 13 at 1518, SDXF special for World Radio
Day, via Channel 292, GERMANY: sufficient into UTwente, except for
heavy ACI from China 9675. Can`t get rid of it all by LSB tuning and
narrow bandwidth. Mainly in Swedish, mentioning US stations, programs,
WWCR, VORW, WRMI; DARC. 1521 discussion about KROQ 106.7 in California
- apparently someone there speaks Swedish. In second semihour,
includes Jonathan Marx in English about how he was converting DX
Jukebox into Media Network. 1558 brief SDXF outro in English, IS
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. Feb 13 at 0651-0654 UT, some JBA ND beacons:
245 MCW kHz, FS, Sioux FallS SD;
346 MCW kHz, dash and YXL, SiouX Lookout ON;
365 MCW kHz, AA, Fargo ND;
407 MCW kHz, JBA carrier, if not HRU in KS seemingly gone there are
several others in dxinfocentre.com, in WI, GA, IL, CO, NY, OH, LA, NE
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2281 monitoring: confirmed UT
Thursday February 13 at 0130 on WRMI 5010, S7/S9 off the back into
Maryland SDR.
Also confirmed Thursday February 13 at 1749 the 1730 on SW Radio,
Germany, 3975.003-, S9+5/15 into UTwente.
WORLD OF RADIO 2282 contents: Australia, Brasil, Canada non, Cuba,

Japan, Korea South, (Madagascar), Netherlands, North America, Russia
and non, Sa`udi Arabia, Scotland non, Spain, Sudan non, Sudan Soouth
non, (Switzerland), Taiwn, UAE, USA and nono, Vanuatu, Venezuela,

** VANUATU. 9960, Feb 13 at 0655, RV, S3/S4 in talk presumably Bislama
before QSY-time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 810.61, mystery carrier search, UT Feb 13, checking
direct once or twice an hour starting at 0300, nothing until finally
at 0658, measured as above slightly higher than previously. Then from
0700 I start hunting for it via various remotes, starting with Canary
Islands - nothing. Nothing across SE USA, FL, GA, SC, AL, TN. I have
suspected it`s really coming from the opposite direxion, so try
remotes in NM, CO, ND - nothing, until: Corinne #1, northern Utah! Of
course the main 810 signal in the West is KSFO ex-KGO. This shows 30
Hz above 810.600, i.e. 810.63. Keep checking other remotes including
WA until 0730 but not found anywhere else and by then it`s no longer
heard direct. May have gone off again much earlier.
Greg Hardison reports at 0809 UT: ``Glenn: ? I did hear that 810+
anomaly on the Allenspark, CO SDR, but couldn't pull any audio
peculiar to it. Wanted to check it on Kimball, NE, but it's offline
tonight. Could it be Sturgis?? The other G H`` - that would be KBHB,
Sturgis SD, U1 25000/60 watts. My previous bearing approx. 280 degrees
would have to be wrong. Or course that`s more toward KSFO, which
sounds normal on 810.00. It would have to be putting out a spur
additionally on the plus side, but I doubt that. Due to KSFO
dominance, there are not many 810s in western USA: only CO, NM, SD, WA
