** MEXICO. Re 970, XEJ, Ju?rez, ```Note to editors: please do not
``correct`` my spelling. Mexico with a J is an alternative, and
certainly fits with branding of this station``` - Bruce Conti, NRC
IDXD editor replies:
``It's "La J Mexicana" with a[n] X on the XEJ website``
https://www.audiorama.mx/estacion/la-j-mexicana/juarez/970AM
O my, even the station doesn`t get it that ``Mejicana`` would be
cool[er]! Too Castilian? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2283 monitoring: NOT confirmed UT
Sunday Feb 23 at 0100 on WRMI 9955, altho still on the skedgrid, nor
was it on last week. Instead, `God`s Mighty Word` with John Reed,
which I see has several other times on WRMI.
Confirmed UT Sunday Feb 23 at 0452, almost 7 minutes into so the 0415v
started circa 0445 on WA0RCR, MO, 1860 AM, S9+20 direct. I didn`t
listen straight thru, but should have, as I wonder whether the 2+
minute AI song that Zach produced would be allowed on this ham
station. Ended at 0512, roughly 2 minutes short, so the song was
probably truncated if not eliminated.
As usual I doze thru the Sun 1130 on WRMI 9955; would be nice if
someone already awake could reconfirm this. Next:
2000 UT Sunday IRRS 1323-Italy;
2230 UT Sunday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2330 UT Sunday WRMI 7570 to NW [and/or 7780];
0030 UT Monday WRMI 7780 to SW;
0930 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 6160;
2030 UT Monday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0330 UT Tuesday WRMI 7780 to SW;
1400 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?];
1500 UT Tuesday WRMI 9955 to SSE [also web-, phonecast; jammed?];
2100 UT Tuesday IRRS 1323-Italy;
0030 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975.
Thanks to Ron Howard, Monterey CA who sent a check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702, and ``Happy Chinese
New Year``

UNIDENTIFIED. 810.58, Feb 23 at 0430 UT, that mystery carrier hetting
810.0 stations is in again, and again DF to approx. 100/280 to 105/285
degrees from Enid. At 0510 I`ve switched to the Corinne, northern Utah
SDR where it`s also quite audible on 810.58; can`t make out any
modulation. I swiftly invite others to hear it themselves via Utah;
but Walt Salmaniw, BC and Mark Connelly, MA both reply they detect
nothing direct. I still have it via Corinne at final check 0713 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 1549.83 approx., Feb 23 at 0740 UT, JBA carrier direct.
This off-frequency I`ve occasionally heard before. It`s further off
than KGBC below its 1540, which makes a lower het. MWOffsets presents
an intriguing possibility:
``1550 1549,817 PRU Radio Visi?n (Pisco)[range: -1549.82] 1100-0205
2024-03-02``? and WRTH 2025 shows OAM5M with 3 kW. I need to DF this
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
