World Music Radio is planning to commence broadcasting on two new frequencies
sometime during the month of June from Hvidovre, previously used for WMR on 927
kHz (which has been silent for the past six months or so, and which will not
return) - and previously used for Radio208 on 5970 kHz. The two new
frequencies will be 3965 kHz (400W) and 25820 kHz (100W). So from July 1st
2025 WMR will hopefully be on: 3965 (24/7), 5930 (24/7), 15700 (05-22 UTC),
25800 (24/7), and 25820 (24/7) kHz.

Radio208 - on the other hand - will be closed down in the course of May. That
means the end of 1440 (currently 300 Watts) from Ishøj. 1422 in Central
Copenhagen has already been switched off. During Easter Radio208 on 5970 also
went off the air.

Radio208 began broadcasting on 1440 kHz on December 17th 2019, and from May1st
2020 shortwave was added.

So, this will be the end of Radio208 – and the end of Mediumwave broadcasting
from Denmark.
